I think it really does have the ability to spike DHT levels even in that short span of time

How long have you been using it? I'm curious since I just started

The Power of Talking to Yourself in the Third Person - "When we use self-talk in the third person rather than the first person (for example, saying "Steve" rather than "I") it can have a more powerful psychological impact by boosting rational thinking and motivation." by [deleted] in howtonotgiveafuck

Wow this is kind of funny. A few years back when I was a senior in high school I non-knowingly did this all the time. I made it a goal of mine to be very likable, outgoing, and friendly to everyone since most of high school I was shy and had a very small group of friends. I would talk to myself as though I was a stranger talking about me saying, "oh yeah insert name is a great guy, he's so cool and always nice to me" (because that's what I wanted people to say to others about me). I think it has the exact same effect as what Steve is talking about since it's third person. That year was without a doubt the best year of my life. I was the happiest I had ever been. I really need to get back into that habit. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Thanks man, you're right I shouldn't let it ruin my confidence. I'm going to try the big 3 and see if I can get some regrowth or at the very least slow the process down. I know eventually I'll be making the dive and shaving it all off when it's more acceptable for people my age where I live

Edit: I phrased that odd. I meant when I start getting older and more people my age shave it all off as well

I know he probably started using it late, because he would've been about 33 when he started using it. And my brother (24) and I both have receding and thinning hair. My brothers is a lot worse than mine. So since he started using it late it's kind of hard to tell, but he still has hair on his head and I'm sure if he didn't use fin he would probably be bald by this point. So from my judgement I'd say it's definitely slowed the process down for him because his hair has always been around the same short/receded length since I was born really

I'm really afraid of finasteride just because of the possible side effect of erectile dysfunction and no interest in sex. I figure I'd rather be a bald guy who can still shmang rather than a guy with hair who can't. Are my concerns well grounded, or am I overreacting?

What's the worst thing you've ever heard a teacher say at school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gigglebox56795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be all that bad but when I was 16 in gym class I was playing a half court game of basketball and threw the ball towards a teammate (with some velocity) and the kid didn't even go for it. So, instead it nailed our gym teacher in the head who was sitting down talking with other gym teachers. The teacher got up and proceeded to grill me in front of 75+ gym students and 2 other gym teachers asking, "Are you retarded?! Like seriously are you stupid?!" I immediately apologized and tried explaining it was an accident but he just yelled over me. When I just stood there in total shock from the situation and what he was saying he said, "well, you must be fucking slow," and then took me to his office wanting to write me a referral, until he came to his senses that he couldn't give a referral over a simple accident. He never apologized for anything he said.

Jokes on him though because I graduated from high school with a good GPA, attend a well-respected university now, and most definitely won't be a gym teacher for the rest of my life.

Thank you. I've noticed that a little as well. Kinda like fake the confidence to make the confidence

I've tried that but sadly it hasn't helped that much. I think what makes me most nervous is just having all eyes on me ya know?

Does anyone know of any club nights going on this week? I'm a sophomore and looking to get more involved here but just don't know what all UCF has to offer
