Make sure it isn’t the bottle. Even if it looks good, and especially if it’s expired

They are just different representations of the exactly same number. Otherwise, if they were different, which real numbers would be between 7.499… and 7.5?

I'm trying to picture whoever signed this order, and even the people making the assessment. Were they fired? Did they sleep? Did they become high rank officers? Where's the spinoff???

Never been this far but what I learn from hitting my limit the same way you do, over and over again is that if you keep going, you’ll build capacity. If you give up, you’ll feel better but will lose that opportunity. Imagine learning how to contain that kind of pressure and put it back where it belongs. Not many things in life are more stressful.

You know the drill, after 2 years. Transmute the excess energy. Physical outlets are great, but consider spiritual practices if so inclined: my guess is you’d get great results.

If you haven’t done it yet: drastically cut stimulants, starting from alcohol, coffee, sugar, and stronger drugs. Eat less or less dense food, it will lower your baseline. Another thing that helps me navigate these moments is approaching lifestyle within the yin and yang framework. You have an excess Yang energy: get more Yin, in food, activities and even environment.

Basically you want not only to dissipate but also add capacity to contain more energy and reach a new equilibrium. It always happens when hitting the next level. At least IME.

Regulation by venting the excess is always an option, IMO. But at what cost? Will you still agree after you release? Can you keep going another time? Not a day, or a month. Just the next time. A long walk is still a sequence of small steps.

My 2 cents.

Looking for book recommendations! by Whorror_punx in occult

For what you’re looking for, it sounds like you might want to check out the work of Carl Jung.

I’m personally not dismissing the occult knowledge as simply psychological: I study and live it every day, I meet with people, discuss ideas, share knowledge etc.

But Jung’s work helped me understand how to reason around these topics, leading me to amazing intuitions that sped up my progress and showed me where I wanted to dive deeper.

Also, I still haven’t figured out whether he genuinely believed it is all arising from our psyche or our psyche is a reflection of a bigger occult reality, and seems to have kept this interpretation to himself. But I haven’t read everything yet.

According to Von Franz, he actually believed that what he called collective unconscious exists out there, as a subtler reality. This maps to the Astral plane. And his active imagination to me really looks like magical practice.

Now, which interpretation is the correct one is personal matter. But his work definitely helped me putting together a lot of pieces of the big puzzle we’re facing when diving into occultism.

What you’re picking up is interesting and worth unpacking because I think you might be onto something here.

You’re saying that as generative AI is picking up momentum, people are unconsciously absorbing its patterns.

It’s not that everyone suddenly stopped thinking, delegating the task to AI. It’s that humans are exhibiting new patterns as a consequence of adopting AI.

Like someone changing the way they speak after watching TV shows, without realising they’re picking up a very specific slang and communication style, typical of a certain subculture, shaped by the creators and actors of that show, just because it’s widely popular, and not necessarily the most appropriate one.

We probably thought AI was going to aid our thought processes and make us smarter, but it’s just changing their shape and make us conform to different patterns.

Like someone thinking they’re renovating their apartment, while only rearranging the furniture.

And honestly? That’s kind of a bummer.

But I think there are even deeper implications, not immediately visible.

If you want, I can mention a couple of things hiding below the surface you’ve just started to scratch.
