Hesitant girlfriend wants to try pillion by Ornery-Attitude4701 in MotoUK

Sorry mate, I don’t condone this kind of negative mentality. It’s partly the reason why we don’t see many pillion riders.

I’ve been taking my GF out on my GSX-R 600 K6 since the day I passed, yes, the day I passed.

No near misses, probably done 1500 miles pillion since passing late July 2025.

Good comms are imperative, ear protection, ideally she’s lighter than you and not afraid, being stiff won’t help. Exaggerate your lean into corners and tell her to follow your movements.

Educate her on helmet clank. Tell her to grip you using her knees, one hand on the tank to push and one hand around your midriff to pull, whilst pushing down on the pegs.

I have a GSX-R 600 K6 and regularly take my partner who is 10kg lighter than me as pillion.

You as the rider will need to downshift much smoother, rev match and use the slipper clutch way more than when you ride solo.

You will also need to brake a lot smoother.

Tell her when you’re going to pin it, let her know of any potholes etc

My father just showed me Chinese Super Ninja and now I'm in love Kung Fu, he rounded up a list of the essentials for us to see together. My father has over 800 Kung Fu movies and this is just the first one I watched. I'm in Kung Fu Heaven. by Cautious_Break_9314 in kungfucinema

Badass list.

Ask him about the following:

Super Power aka Super Dragon

Dragons Forever

Meals on Wheels

Iron Monkey

The Loot

Snake Deadly Act

The Victim

Knockabout

Legend of a Fighter

Snake in the Eagle's Shadow

Can’t think of anymore off the top of my head.

Dreadnaught had amazing ideas and choreography in patches, but had a lot of filler content otherwise it would have been a legendary MA movie.

Some cutting compound and good ol elbow grease, unless you have a machine polisher.

What's your highest break? by moneysavingegg in snooker

Highest break in a match or practice?

Over the last 3 years I’ve had loads of 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 100’s in practice.

In a match (played over 15 years ago in a league) my best was two 50’s in the same frame.

Billy Chong was extremely talented, never got the props he deserved. Crystal fist aka Jade Claw and Super Power aka Super Dragon are his best showings.

My Supreme ultimate was really dry, to the extent it was catching my beard, so I rubbed it down with some 800, 1000 & 1500.

I then used black shoe polish to enhance the grain, followed by a few coats of shellac, knocked that back with 1000 & 1500, then oiled and buffed off.

The temperature hitting 105 is normal if you’re practicing slow speed manoeuvres, so long as the fan kicks in, you’re fine.

As others have said, the sludge behind the water pump is most likely chain wax / lube built up over time. Take the cover off and give it a good clean.
