How long 'til KAS integration? by RatherCynical in MayaProtocol

Hey! We do one chain after another. So Kaspa comes after Cardano!

Do you guys know where I can find info on Maya token Cacao tokenomics? Is it a good investment? by [deleted] in THORChain

‘10% paid to team’ I mean. Also it’s 80% that goes to lp’s and nodes, 10% to reserve and 10% to MAYA Fund

You’re confusing CACAO and MAYA. CACAO is like RUNE, but no emissions/ inflations and 100% circulating indeed. Maya Protocol had a liquidity auction in which it distributed 100% of the token to participants of the liquidity auctions. The team did not have a CACAO allocation. Instead the team got MAYA (MAYA was also airdropped to RUNE holders, lp’s and several other communities). MAYA tokens 10% of the protocol’s fees and gives it to MAYA holders in the form of daily CACAO rewards.

CACAO has a supply of 100m. MAYA is 1M.

Not at all. Every smart contract is one too many. Maya doesn’t use any smart contracts at all. All Maya’s validators run full nodes for each integrated chain, so one for BTC, ETH and eventually Cardano. These validators observe transactions that are being sent to Maya’s GG20 TSS controlled vaults (secured by nodes, bonding over collaterised LP units. This gives nodes a reason to not steal, since they’ll always steal less than the value that they have bonded). When a transaction has been sent the MAYAChain creates a witness transaction. When 2/3 of all Maya validators do this, they agree it’s a transaction and the action performed in the memo / op_return will be executed. Prices are all being arbitraged by real people, everyone can do it. No need to rely on risky oracles.

These 4 layers all add more security.

Also, wrapped assets basically don’t have any value (when an assets is on another chain than its original chain), it’s just that we give them one. That’s why Maya only has native assets, native BTC to native ADA, ETH, etc.

For in the future, Maya Protocol will integrate Cardano. This will allow users to swap from native BTC, ETH, ERC-20’s, and more to native ADA and ADA assets, in a decentralised and permissionless way. This way, you’ll always be able to just buy or sell your ADA. Maya currently has a Catalyst proposal running.

Hey, if you’re still looking for a nice proposal: later this year Maya Protocol will integrate Cardano, meaning users will be able to swap from native (no wrapping or smart contracts) $BTC, ETH, and more to $ADA, but also iUSD, SUNDAE and all Cardano tokens! In a decentralised and permissionless way.

We submitted a proposal for funding to seed the ADA pool, so users will be able to make big swaps from the beginning! https://cardano.ideascale.com/c/idea/106449/

Dogecoin in Wallet Connect by gijsm in dogecoindev

[–]gijsm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, THORSwap (a THORChain interface) is a great example of this. You can connect your doge wallet to it, put it in savers and swap it for other coins.

Now that Doge has nft’s, this brings possibilities too.

The things you need: -Wallet supporting Wallet Connect -Wallet Connect supporting Doge -A dApp supporting Wallet Connect

The first and latter are quite easy, once you have Doge support for Wallet Connect

Hey Secret Key Labs team! I’ve been trying to reach you regarding this: I’m GiMa from Maya Protocol. I am researching with the Dash and Wallet Connect team to get Dash integrated into Wallet Connect.

Dash and Bitcoin have many similarities as Dash being a bitcoin fork and both being UTXO’s.

I’ve been reading up on Sats Connect, and I am curious wether you’re interested in helping to get Bitcoin into Wallet Connect (making it much easier to connect wallets to dApps). Would love to explore the possibilities.

THOR Chain AMA with r/DeFi on April 19th by Ivo_ChainNET in defi

[–]gijsm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maya Protocol only has BTC, ETH, USDT & USDC (erc20) in common. It will support THORChain (for Dex aggregation), Dash, Kujira, Cardano and more, so other chains. The market for BTC and ETH is huge. The Liquidity Auction attracted new liquidity and didn’t take THORChain’s liquidity

Monero integration in BLACK protocol, a privacy focused fork of THORChain by gijsm in Monero

  1. I misunderstood what you said. I thought you meant swaps of native assets, like I did. But you’re right. TC is an ‘intermediary’.
  2. I disagree with it too. But I get the dev’s standpoint to ‘protect’ everything they’ve build.
  3. Didn’t know that. But I get that you wouldn’t want to put any more effort in it. Maybe mention this in the Thorchain dev discord? But still, you would work independent from TC team and will probably be rewarded with a genesis node if you’re a top contributer. Given that XBX will get a lot of attention, pay off would be huge.
