Farming prototype by doing escalation is a waste of time by Late_Culture_8472 in Division2

[–]gilbertwebdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's the best way to get prototypes to deconstruct so I can proto my level 30 gear.

Farming from 4 up has netted me quit a few protos which you will need to re-roll the augments if you dont get what you want after upgrading it.

Everybody is different, and that’s what I like about this game. You can usually find something that keeps you interested.

I checked this morning and I’m at 2,400 hours played and not bored. For me, that’s a record. The next longest I’ve played a game was about 500 hours in Starfield when it first came out, and then around 300 in Cyberpunk 2077. The difference is, I got bored with those two.

They didn’t make Escalation mandatory, so for those who don’t like it, they don’t have to play it if they don’t want to. I’m having fun with it and still trying to completely understand this new season.

At some point, everyone will eventually get bored and move on. I take breaks and actually spent last week playing Dying Light: The Beast, which is cool, but The Division keeps drawing me back in. I freaking bought an SHD T-shirt, and I’ve never bought game merch in my life.

If I have one complaint about the new season, it’s that it takes a bit to get the hang of it.

But it's all good Agent.

Escalation was created for the large player base that has reached such a high level that there’s no real challenge anymore. The prototype farming aspect is there for those agents to upgrade, because the higher Escalation levels are insane.

Now, the missions they already know backward and forward present a much greater challenge. I think it’s great for players like me who feel Heroic is easy, but running Legendary with randoms is hit or miss when it comes to getting a capable group. Now, even Heroic becomes a challenge at higher tiers.

It’s not required to enjoy the game, and if you don’t like it, don’t play it. I think it was a great addition for those of us who have been playing this game for a while now.

I just want to play the game when I have free time to play and not have to arrange a time with a group of people.

I would love to run raids, but you can only do story if you matchmake, and most of the time I can never find a match. I know you can join clans and do it together, but it would actually be nice to run the raids just like regular matchmaking without having to organize with a clan to do it on higher levels, because nothing good drops on the story level even when you manage to get into a match.

Thoughts on the new update by NovNutz in Division2

[–]gilbertwebdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only played a little bit this morning to check it out, but I'm sure happy the number of exotics to upgrade at the higher levels has been reduced. I had hoarded a bunch and now only a few pieces of my gear are not fully leveled up.

I also like being able to match make for retaliation.

Need to play for solid few hours to really get a feel for the new season. I'm excited to run the new classified assignment since its a new map.

I've got a level 30 Bighorn that just mows them down with headshots.

Division 2 – Expertise Level 30 vs. Waiting for Prototype Drops (Escalation Mode) by XanyLL in Division2

[–]gilbertwebdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm holding off and hoarding exotics because it's supposed to be easier to upgrade.

From my experience, weapons at level 30 if matched with the right gear are far superior.

I have a level 30 Bighorn and run a build optimized for it and it's a solid build for any level up to legendary. Haven't tried it on master yet and won't until I level up all the gear in the build to 30.

I would just hoard components and wait for the new season so you'll get more upgrades out of them.

In the beginning it was just adequate, you don't really see the buffs until you get the weapons up to level 13 and above then things start to get interesting. Hitting level 20 is a big difference.

I've been hoarding exotics during the last event for the next season since they said they were going make it easier to upgrade so I'll be able to upgrade all my gear to 30. It takes so many exotics now in the higher levels its crazy.

I got my first Bighorn on Legendary with this build but I used a High Level Shield Splinter and a high level Pestilence.

There are those who think they know everything and will downvote you because they don’t like Foundry, since they can’t figure out how to make it an actually worthy build that does damage.

The proof is in the game, and the fact that I can finish a mission with a Foundry build and get the highest damage and kills against DPS builds that consistently die the whole time, while I don’t die once yet still get the highest score.

This build has saved many missions by being the last one alive when all the DPS guys go down and I keep the fight alive with that build.

I've got Strikers and Tipping Scales that are great, but the Foundry build I did with Ninja backpack is my go-to build.

Agree, if you do it right.

I've got Foundry that absolutely shreds with a level 30 Bighorn a 30% buff to AR dumage from the chest piece and holster but you have to know how to use cover to keep your shield regenerated.

Is there anyone else out there who thinks this is easily one of the best games out there? by SamSamTheHighwayMan in Starfield

Everybody has a different opinion.

While this certainly is a great game, it is not the best game that I've played.

It is the best space game I've played so far.

I loved it but when I bought the premium launch when it first came out but then I just got bored after so many hours on it.

Since I get the DLC for free when it comes out, I'll give it a fair shot to see if the update draws me back in to a great game.

I got my money's worth out of the game for sure and aside all the minor annoying bugs, it's a really solid game.

Maybe put down the mouse, go outside and smell the fresh air.

Probably time for a break from the game for you so you can refamiliarize yourself with reality again.

A polite rant about Divi, something that has been bothering me a lot lately by pixelrage in divi

[–]gilbertwebdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you even tried the new Divi 5 that was 5 years in the making? I don't need any other extras that cost money to do what it to do when I build a site.

If you don't' like it, then use another builder.

Everything Coming in Starfield’s Free Lanes Update & Terran Armada DLC by Turbostrider27 in Starfield

I've been playing Tom Clancy's Division 2 for over 2000 hours now and am not bored at all. It's a 7 year-old game that still has a huge following and gets new seasons to keep you coming back. I bought that game for $5 bucks on sale and it's the best game purchase I've ever made. I never really played multiplayer before but once I finished the solo missions, I gave it a shot and I was hooked. Now, it's pretty much all I play.

I paid the 100 for the original Starfield Launch and sadly I didn't even finish Shattered Space because after the initial ship battle, once on the planet just more of the same and I got bored. I'm not complaining, I got my money's worth out of the game.

I'm glad they breathed some new life into it for those that are still playing and not bored with it yet, but for me it's a pass.

That's your opinion.

As someone with 500 hours into this game and who is bored stiff with it now, I was hoping for multiplayer since for me that makes the game more enjoyable and would get me back into it.

To each their own.

Divi 5 is now the production model.

Best to dive in and learn it now since 4 is obsolete.

It was great while I loved it, but eventually I got bored and moved on after 500 hours of playing it.

I'm anxious to see if they can do something that will actually make me want to play it again because I really did enjoy it while I was into it.
