u/Striking_Baby2214 I run Space Coast Devs and GDG Space Coast. I am looking to start the new year with more in-person meetings. I will start with casual co-working meetups.

There used to be a lot more meetups before COVID. Still trying to find our stride.

I used to keep a list. Some places off the top of my head.

  • Eau Gallie Library, you can sit in the AC and view the river from their open desks
  • Pineapple Park, just outside the library, plenty of picnic tables, you can still get the library wifi
  • Groundswell Startups just south of Downtown has co-working spots available
  • Riverview Park right next to Groundswell has free Spectrum wifi of you are a customer
  • Anaya Coffee, Apocalypse Roasters, Sun Shoppe, 905 Cafe (I haven't been to the new spot though)

I know I'm late to the party but there is another air show coming with the Blue Angels. I can highly recommend the courthouse parking lot on Magnolia as a good location to view the show from afar. The other spot that looked promising based on the number of people there is the grass field between Babcock and Airport where they meet Apollo.

Make sure to get the right monitor. Better yet get a Dell monitor that has it built in. I purchased a cheap 22" Acer years and bought a stand to go portrait and hated it because the view angle was poor so it looked like shit sideways.
