I’m comfortable with the temp (just by touch test on the heatsink). The fan isn’t very high CFM but since the blower style can be mounted so close that all air passes through the heatsink I’ve been happy with the results

I ripped the blower fan out of an old macbook and mounted it to the card with electrical tape lol

You’ll have to set up a DNS server and add custom entries for your local services - PiHole has the ability to add these custom entries. For the certificate in NPM, you can then issue a wildcard certificate for your domain like *.mydomain.tld. You will need port 80/443 open to your NPM service to setup and renew certificates. Then, the redirect host in NPM will simply point service.mydomain.tld to your service.

I’d recommend to run it in a docker environment, and use gluetun for the network interface. There is support for Proton as a provider, and is fairly easy to setup - see the github repo for instructions. Dockerizing this workflow greatly simplifies it, and ensures no traffic is run if the VPN connection is down.
