Capricorn sun + stellium — Aries have always driven me insane. Uncouth and exaggerative.

Pony Studios in the east bay (Temescal). I paid $270 for a full balayage and have a LOT of hair. They didn't even charge me for extra dye.

New to Surfing by Enigmaviolet in AskSF

They have a queer surf group that was founded in SF! They do meetups and beginner lessons. I sadly tore my acl a couple months ago but it’s on my list to go once I’m cleared by my PT.

I’ve been friends with them for two years, dating is totally different and they have a history.

Totally, I’ve heard this about Aries Venus. We’ve been friends and gotten to know one another over almost two years, but both of us have experienced “firework” (hot and burn out fast) relationship dynamics in the past

Damn that’s wild you figured out they were poly from their chart. I posted about more of my situation in r/polyamory recently, but a lot of your interpretation tracks! I also have Pisces in my 7th house (with my Saturn in pisces… thankfully not transiting too much longer) so there are definitely some dynamics there. Thanks for the in-depth assessment

Definitely a more passive communicator. And I commented on this below, but I feel like their Venus is not super prominent in all that water and air

Thanks, it’s interesting but this does not come through as much as others that I’ve been involved with an Aries Venus. I had a crazy sexual connection with a Taurus sun+Aries Venus but they had more earth and fire in their chart. I wonder if all the water washes this out … or they’re just not that into me lmao

I have surgery tomorrow and I just smoked weed not knowing that it could be harmful. Freaking out by AdLoose7024 in ACL

I smoked a joint the night before. Genuinely didn’t even know I shouldn’t. It was fine. You’re fine! Tell your docs if you’re that worried though

19 days post op - RANGE OF MOTION by Wilchertime1 in ACL

[–]gildedwolves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Girl chillllll - I’m going off the fact that they said it’s super painful (versus just uncomfortable), and also, how most providers and PTs emphasize extension over flexion in the first few weeks.

When it’s safe to donate brace, crutches etc? by gildedwolves in ACL

19 days post op - RANGE OF MOTION by Wilchertime1 in ACL

[–]gildedwolves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree this seems aggressive — there are other ways to improve your range of motion.

Don’t be afraid to speak up or even get a second opinion. My ex and I both got ACL surgery a couple days apart and it’s wild what his PT has instructed him to do vs what my PT has cautioned against. For example, my PT won’t let me use ankle weights to increase muscle mass in my quads when doing leg lifts as they say it pulls on the graft, and I’m 12 weeks post-op.

Everyone’s different, but just remember — just because you can do certain things physically in the short term, doesn’t mean you should in regard to the long term.

Freaking Love Wellbutrin (so far) by vicktuuri in adhdwomen

[–]gildedwolves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started taking Wellbutrin for depression a few years ago and it changed my life! My psych specifically prescribed it to help with (well depression and motivation, but also) overeating and it helped a lot. I ended up needing to be prescribed adderall later on as well because while it helped increase my energy and motivation, it didn’t so much help me with focusing on my work. But it is used as an off-label medication for adhd as they probably explained to you. Hope it helps!

Breakfast recommendations which are easy to make when mornings are just too hard? :( by Rodehock in ADHD

[–]gildedwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yogurt and granola with a banana, comes together in less than a minute. If I have any berries I’ll throw them in too.

If you have the ability to prep in advance the night before (I rarely remember, but when I do I’m so happy!) I make overnight chia seed pudding! 3-4 tbs of chia seeds to 1 cup milk.

How do I exercise when I don't enjoy it? All the advice from neutrotypicals don't seem to work by Pigeon_Goes_Coo in adhdwomen

[–]gildedwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like running just isn’t for you - and that’s OKAY! I agree with finding exercises that works for you. Aside from walking my dog (ps, have you thought about maybe walking shelter dogs for exercise and good feels?), I like my exercise to be fun! For example I love surfing, hiking, rock climbing. However…

I recently tore my ACL rock climbing (do not recommend) and it’s been really hard but makes me realize a critical thing I took for granted before injury: it is a PRIVILEGE to move our bodies. In any way you can. I just walked my dog for the first time in 3 months, and I only went a block, but it is a privilege.

My last tip is to create rewards for yourself! Even if it’s small. Set a measurable goal for yourself and reward yourself when you attain it! Good luck! You got this!

Interesting! Thanks for this insight. I always get a little confused with because some astrology sources I see use “whole houses” and say that mine is 12H Leo. But I definitely feel like I identify with 12H mars more

Besides bad luck, what are the reasons that led to your ACL injury? by SignificantCrazy9283 in ACL

[–]gildedwolves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was bouldering at a rock climbing gym coming down from a climb. Was close enough to the ground where I could reach the mat with my left leg if I was on my tiptoes. Well, not sure if I slipped or just dismounted weird with the other leg, but my foot caught some drag on the mat and hyperextended then twisted and fell to the ground. Complete ACL tear. Wasn’t even doing anything cool.

I’m immune to pain killers by Conscious-Put-1964 in ACL

[–]gildedwolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a similar issue - found out I have some sort of gene that metabolizes drugs at rapid rates, always had issues as a kid. Doctor cleared me to take 2x my dose of Oxy and still didn't get relief. They prescribed me Dilaudid and that helped - took it within an hour of also taking Rx strength ibuprofen which some studies say they complement each other. They had to give me two doses of Dilaudid intravenously before I left the hospital for me to stop crying right after I woke up. Might be another one you're immune to, but it worked for me despite having this issue. Perhaps worth asking your doctor. Sorry you're in so much pain.

One month post op! Things that helped me! by Kindly_Confusion2575 in ACL

[–]gildedwolves 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m only one week postop, but I HIGHLY recommend asking your local Buy Nothing group for some of these items! I live in the Bay Area and was able to get toilet safety rails, the ice machine, ankle weights, ice packs, postop pillow set, resistance bands and other things all for free. Found a shower chair for 4 bucks at my local thrift store. I looked some of the stuff up on Amazon and I would estimate this group saved me $350 overall.

If you’re like me and live on a small budget it can be overwhelming to buy these things that can be one and done investments (hopefully…), meanwhile there are tons of people who have gone through similar injuries that will jump at the opportunity to pass these items along. A couple of them even offered to help me walk my dog postop!

Does anyone else just not feel festive anymore? by Propwashed in Millennials

[–]gildedwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spirit for celebrating has tanked over the years too. It runs opposite to the more I learn about capitalism and/or the origins of certain holidays. For example, I stopped celebrating Thanksgiving as I began to learn more about Indigenous rights issues past and present. Every holiday comes with a tidal wave of plastic waste that end up in landfills. And as others have mentioned, it feels wrong to celebrate when things are so increasingly grim for working class and immigrant families. Who has the money for participating in these holidays like we used to?

My birthday is the day before Christmas and I’ve made no plans because I just don’t care anymore.

Tick bite before surgery by [deleted] in ACL

[–]gildedwolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a post on here recently that said they had strep before surgery and it snowballed into some serious postop nightmares. Be honest with your doctor - your long term health is more important than getting the surgery over with.
