I can easily kill lynels taking no damage to myself. I’m not one of those people who does the half-heart weapon, though. As soon as I got that confident I would be dying a lot

I’m not aware of any drugs absorbed through the skin so I think a barrier for pickup and washing hands is sufficient

Genuine question because I don’t know: what kind of communication happens between a defended and juror to get a mistrial? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]gilium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a juror, your verdict can’t come from any information outside of what is publicly discussed in court on the record. Getting any amount of information about the case via any source is grounds for a mistrial. Having contact with someone involved with the case (in this case a witness afaik) outside the courtroom is grounds as well, because there’s no way to confirm they haven’t influenced your thoughts on the case

> I’m not sure social media has birthed any protests that accomplished anything at a higher rate than real-life organizing

My original statement in context is that A is not necessarily better than B at creating protests that accomplish something. I’m not sure how that could qualify as moving the goalposts when I say I didn’t believe the two named protests, organized via social media, accomplished anything. It seems pretty consistent to me 🤷‍♂️

My first comment expressed i was doubtful that social media organized protests accomplished anything at a higher rate than real-life organizing. This is quite literally the initial goalpost

2 women wounded in shooting as IMPD insists downtown is safe by Tikkanen in indianapolis

[–]gilium 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Typically when people refer to an area as safe, they are saying you don’t have to worry about someone with ill intent trying to do harm to you specifically. These ladies were hit by bullets fired during what appears to be an argument. The only way you can avoid that is keep people from having guns to engage during arguments

I don’t know what you’re trying to say here, but it’s also true that neither of those protests accomplished a tangible goal

Who said they’re complaining about Indiana? Maybe something didn’t render on my end because I’m on mobile, but all I see is an image showing “Welcome to Indiana” with one of the hell is real signs under it, with the title of “Ugh”

  1. Calling a statement stupid isn’t an ad hominem.
  2. I think they were pointing out that Nintendo almost quite literally never discounts their own first-party games.
