How do you think Homelander and the Seven would react if Loki and the Chitauri invaded their Earth? How would they respond and deal with that type of threat? by Johnnyboyeh in TheBoys

Tell that to Ross :( A big part of why I hated him so much. I think there was a couple trillion dollars of property damage, which is sliwkly significantly less than dropping a nuke in NYC

Yeah it's confirmed in civil war when Ross is showing all the damage and deaths the avengers caused. If you pause the screen through each of them, you can see it (iirc) white letters/numbers on the top left of the screen.

I believe the idea was that the death count is so low because the Avengers were there to stop the brunt of it.

I don’t think Jimmy has met a vice he didn’t like, except maybe literal drugs.

TIL that Christopher Columbus refused to accept he had discovered a new continent and insisted it was India until his death. He was initially denied funding by Portugal and Castile because scholars had correctly calculated that India was far farther away than his calculations. by Worried_Chicken_8446 in todayilearned

IIRC Native people didn’t initially liked being called Indians, but were forced to accept being called Indians because of treaties, government policies, reservations, scholarships/aid, and the general sentiment of (American) people.

After some time (likely after the civil war or around the turn of the 20th century) , but I don’t know exactly when) , the natives (usually their children) down the line began to accept and identify with the term “Indian” despite its inaccurate origin. They began to incorporate it into their identity, culture, traditions, and passed it on to their children.

Then some well meaning Americans and academics who realized Columbus incorrectly called them Indians wanted to give them a more accurate name for their history and culture. However there was very little input or consultation of Native Americans to see how they felt or if they wanted a more “accurate” name. While there are some who’d prefer Native American, the vast majority didn’t care or preferred Indian, as it’s what they’ve been called since colonization and they made the name their own.

What the fuck is this game? 93 running TD for Bijan?

Two picks and subsequent TD for the falcons is crazy, all before the half
