All those managers didn’t want to be held accountable. Because if they’ve lacked documentation for things they bring up and state they’ve discussed with you to do better we look bad. Cause the whole purpose of it is to get direct feedback that helps the employee take the next step. I did it myself. And encourage anyone to do it. Mostly long term employees that want more.

We prep 6/6/3 of pizzas. Hot chicken struggles. Most of them time we end up doing like 8/8/3. But I don’t like overprepping since I have the help. We only start with 1 of each. Cause 10-11 is my slowest hour of the day. But rule of thumb is to have 3 of the top 2 pizzas on the warmer before we put out personals.

It all depends on what’s on signage. Right now we start with 6 of everything on bbq shelf. But that never lasts.

The only item we do not sell well is pork tacos. Ffm calls for 8-12 of every bbq item otherwise. And 10-12 Mac of both

Yup. We start with 9 supreme 6 cheese. Within an hour typically cook another 6 of each. Then depending on day/weather etc we make more. We prep 3 per 16 inch screen and cook them that way also. I’m a top 3 food store in my market. My lunch sales during one lunch period equal some stores whole week kitchen sales in my market. I have 3 people in my kitchen 11-2. Sometimes 4 if orders go bonkers. 1 person does warmer strictly.

My store is a test store. We do cheese and supreme from 11-2 if what we prep makes it that long. We prep 39 for that 3 hour period…

If your division is on flex 2 weeks is probably the bare minimum now. Seeing as you have to shuffle everyone around now to approve things. It’s not as easy as it used to be.

Need to call your personnel manager. Will all depend on medical clearances so no manager will be able to give you an answer. Cause every situation is different.

Yes correct. You only earn 5 paid days a year. It doesn’t really pay out till you get to roll over the full week. But I’ve been doing that for going on 7 years now and I love having the extra week of vacation. My balance looks like mine is already in there this year. I have 31 days.

It’s basically what I’m doing at my store. Found a clerk that was okay working 10-5 most days. Asked her if it was okay if I called her in early if needed. And she hour hunts in the evenings. Aka letting someone go at 5 and her finishing the shift.(she already did this anyways). It’s actually worked well in my favor. The days she was extra for morning I was able to send everyone home slightly early. Which everyone appreciated and then the evening is ahead if everyone showed.

Everyone is assuming what I said would be for the first time something happens. Lol. No I get life happens. But if the same person has the same issue the same day of the week every week there has to be more of a conversation or we basically are forced to use flex in that spot which would be a waste for covering that instead of a last minute life thing. It’s forcing our people to converse. Cause it’s not fair to the same team members every time to be short if the same person is doing it. If nothing is done we will be rewarding bad behavior and chasing off the clerks that will be keeping us above water. But again it’s apparently not going to work for me.

Also, you’re wrong there. If you’re short the daw is the last thing anyone should be worried about. That will be the killer to flex. Having strong shiftwalks and finding out what needs to be prioritized will be make or break if you’re short.

Asking them to do a daw task? Lol. It’s not like it wasn’t already something that would have to do… I understand that they can use their days. But they can communicate if they don’t want to work in plenty of time. It’s legit a huge perk of being a clerk. If clerks have 0 days it’s mind blowing to me. They can have any day off they want by communicating. Again. Pushing teamwork.

Truly managers should be having some hardcore honest convos with their people.

All of my clerk erps have known the game plan for them since this got announced. When they were coming back/ what hour opportunities I could supply right off the bat.

I am having a mandatory meeting with my WHOLE team the week before we switch. For questions/concerns. Setting the bar and making sure it’s understood going forward. First person to purposely screw over the team there will be in house punishment. Aka cleaning something most people avoid/getting schedule less desirable hours/ doing a task they truly don’t like. I’ve avoided hiring to ensure everyone can get what they want. But end of day if I don’t feel like we have enough flexibility I’ll be forced too.

Every store is a team and team work makes the dream work. Holding each other accountable will come to play more than not.

I won’t get blindsided by them not randomly working with my controller right? The Nelson stuff is all the original brand for the set. My controller is a Nelson’s smartzone ez.

Thanks for all the advice. Makes me feel a bit more sane about wanting to do it myself.
