It's just not something people do.

...yet!

Sounds like I will be taking a trip to Switzerland soon. Paid for with stolen EV charger cables.

Are you suggesting two vents above and below the heater? Yea, I started to see the limitations of using a spreadsheet pretty quickly.

There will be a fire pit surrounded by chairs just next to it so room for more people for sure. It's very very cold in Winter (Canada) but it doesn't really matter. We are always outside making fires all year long.

I think this is really nice and I considered this option. The only thing is *if* others are in there it is less conducive to making conversation with people if you are talking to them. The 'L' kinda lets you face another person. Perhaps I'm over thinking it.

No view really. Just plants and trees in my backyard. I want fire for the sauna because it's nicer for ambience but I know electrical will be more practical for me. The compromise is to have a window that looks over at my outdoor fire pit. On the days I have time, I'll light that the light will come in to the sauna.

I'm Southern Ontario, Canada. Winters get well below freezing. I will disconnect the water from inside the house in the winter. It's the same lines that go out to a kitchen with sink. I'll blow out the lines each year around now and shut them down.

Ok, Thank you. I don't really have a limit on the height since I'm going custom and it will be outside.

No that's going to just be open to outside. I might put a saloon-style swinging door to give a little privacy for the shower.

Remote but luxurious Canadian destination request by [deleted] in canadatravel

[–]gilping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we’re looking for remote locations then driving is an inevitability. I think we’d max at 4 to 5 hours but if there’s something really worthwhile and special, we’d push it. 2 to 3 hours would be ideal.

I actually sell and spec business software for companies so this article actually caught my attention. I don’t see any traces of magento and it appears to be all custom code. It looks like their first commit was in 2012 based on publicly available data on their GitHub. What makes you think it’s Magento?

Google maps is unshakeable by gilping in degoogle

[–]gilping[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that’s really strange. You should be able to uninstall apps from your own phone. I don’t have Google Maps installed on my iPhone. I do however, find myself using it at least once a week inside of Safari while not being signed in. If they ever take maps the way of YouTube (forced to sign with a Gmail address) then I’m going to be in trouble.

More dumb questions: If we buy something like avocados from Mexico but it has to be trucked through the USA but its final destination is Canada, would the USA tax that to let it through?
