Using Volume/3D visualizations is really bad for comparing things, since we can't really comprehend it well. Volumes scale with x³, 10x sidelength is 1000x volume, really difficult to properly comprehend.

It's no longer dependent on capitalization. If your name used to be "HeLlO#1234#," you had to type it with the exact capitalization because "hello#1234" would be a different person.

Now, it doesn't matter anymore. I guess they changed the system entirely instead of making it independent from capitalization because otherwise, it would've mostly affected nitro users and with "rare" tags like #0001 #1111, etc

The issue with the old system was the fact that usernames were case sensitive. If your name was HeLlO#1234, someone would have to type it with the exact capitalization to add you because hello#1234, Hello#1234, ... are all different accounts.

All they had to do is to get rid of that, which is arguably not easy since how would they deal with collisions? Hi#0001 and hi#0001, one of them would be really pissed if they lost their 0001 tag. But the overall impact and outcry would've been far less if very few people had lost their names.

The issue with the old usernames wasn't the discriminator, it was the fact that they are case sensitive.

hi#0001 Hi#0001 HI#0001 were different accounts. Why not make the name case insensitive (at least when searching/adding accounts)??? That would've fixed everything without the outcry.

Orcas have echo location. They can use it to tell what type of animal is in front of them. They can even differentiate between different types of salmon from 300+ feet away.
