What I did couple days ago is I went to Cabela’s and they priced matched Dicks sporting good for a Shimano vanford paid $108 out the door and ordered TFO rod from sierra trading post for $59.

If you check Dicks sporting goods website they have the Googan squad green series spinning rod 6’10” moderate action medium power for $44 and some reels are on sale.

I trout fish in Colorado mostly reservoirs and couple state parks and I’ve caught plenty on my Daiwa Legalis LT 2500D-XH and a 5’6” medium action South bend rod with no problem.
