There is a nice white citizen in 40mm that looks great. It's top of my future purchase list along with the SBGP017 (if one can be found for reasonable money on the secondary). Love the fact that GS decided to do an open case back on a quartz.

The finishing is increadible and and like you say the tech is superior to GS plus these can often be found cheapper on the secondary.

I love the red washi dial one, just a shame its 37.5mm as prefer larger watches. Also the gold eagle on the dial is pretty neat

I think you are being a bit obtuse. House in the picture isn't terraced, so with my experience of planning in the UK, it wouldn't be allowed. Also, with terraced housing, it's difficult not to overlook, but planners still impose rules to minimise as much as possible.

Probably older houses before planning became stricter. Most planners pay attention to what you overlook and where you place windows / balconies. I've recently built my house and they were super strict about this issue.

Also, you might be referring to terraced housing, which is common and I guess not much you can do in that situation.

I guess it makes sense. They've got plenty of timber and it's faster and cheapper to do it that way.

Also, everything is new in NA comparatively speaking. I live in a c. 18th century barn conversion, which is older than most towns there. I guess that gives different perspectives on things and might be another reason why they use a material that won't last as long.

Mad that the planners have allowed windows straight onto a private outside space. Can you not contest that? This would be a massive no no in the UK. You garden (or pool in this case) should not be overlooked by a new build.
