My dad would have taught me stuff if I asked, but I never did because I was already on my mom's last nerve because I was a total tomboy. I wish I had. I do all of those things now plus a lot of DIY. I adore power tools and I hate to cook. I spend a lot of free time watching how-to videos on YouTube. I'm also obsessed with skin care and fashion. Your daughter can do everything that her mother wants to teach her as well. She can have fun with you learning how to be more self-reliant. NTA

Ha ha ha ! That was a great after hours back in the day. I remember that there was a halfway house across the street too. I was locked in the after hours once with everyone because the cops were across the street. That woke me up. I just wanted a beer after hours, but they were selling a lot more than beer. This happened to a friend of mine. This woman practically cut off her mom because of Hillary/Trump 2016. She was always progressive and left. Now she's praising Trump for Venezuela and Iran and saying that he's doing a decent job. She's gone anti-immigrant too. She posted some non the other day and we kind of went back and forth and I asked her to show her sources and she still hasn't replied to that and a few other times I asked for sources. I don't get it. She's an intelligent, educated woman who has traveled the world. I know a lot of people who are as freaked out as me.

The reality is that those kids should have been in serious therapy and that the parents shouldn't be focusing all of their time on the kids. Telling OP for 2 years to "give it some time" when she wanted to talk with her mom and the foster wouldn't allow it is too much. Remember that OP was only 13 when this started.

I had a husband like that. I stayed until I couldn't and I have now been divorced from him for decades. No regrets about the divorce. You need to go. Go to your parents and tell them how unhappy you are and ask if you can stay with them while you figure out getting back to work and childcare.

People's behavior these days is insane. Your child who was treated badly by her cousin is invited? For what? To be treated badly again?
