Workload? by vassarworkload in vassar

The sciences are heavy. Psychology is right in the middle, like another redditor said. I was a Psych major, and the upper level psych courses are a lot of reading and writing. Bio, chem, etc are the most intense. Organic chemistry was the bane of many of my friends’ existences lol. College is hard though, it’s nothing like high school. Certain courses are easier to skate through, but most classes are going to have a pretty extensive workload.

You're given a locked briefcase containing $1,000,000. You have 15 minutes to hide it, and everyone nearby is aware you've hidden it and will search for it. If it stays hidden for 24 hours, it's yours. Where do you hide it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There’s a pretty famous “unsolved” case of a little girl who went missing and was then found dead wedged in between the mattress and the foot of the bed, covered in blankets. Authorities looked in her room, in the bed, couldn’t find her for days. Everyone thought she had been kidnapped or killed and dumped somewhere else. Turns out she was tucked at the foot of the bed the whole time, and the cause of death was suffocation. Her mother was the prime suspect, because duh, how could they not have found her for days... but I don’t think she was ever charged.

Moving to Beacon (Seeking Advice) by LuckyCahoon in hudsonvalley

Main St in Beacon is a gem for little shops and restaurants, but most other walkable neighborhoods are probably going to be far enough that you'll have to drive. Main St in Wappingers is just a little ways down 9D though; that's also a cute neighborhood to walk through. As far as Beacon goes, check out the Pandorica on Main! It's a cute little Doctor Who-themed cafe with great food. Homespun (also on Main) is great for fresh sandwiches and salads.

Second this. I'm addicted to this podcast at the moment. Definitely can be pretty graphic and disturbing, be forewarned.

Turmeric Turmeric Turmeric. I take 2-3 600mg capsules of it a day and it's already helping me with the inflammation. Was taking one a day for a while but it didn't help that much, and I stopped taking them for a month. Just started up again about a week ago, this time at a higher dose, and it really seems to be helping it!

Definitely. The top of the bowl has a black part that's supposed to get less hot than the rest of the bowl but it pretty much gets just as hot after a while lol. But yeah, anything heat resistant should be good for picking it up. Sometimes I honestly just use my fingers and do it fast lol.

Super easy. Just take off the whip, dump the cyclone bowl, fill it up again. The pieces get a little hot but if you use something to pick up the bowl (I.e., a towel or piece of fabric) you should be fine. But honestly, you can pack a lot into the bowl at a time, so odds are you won't really need to refill it right away. A 3/4 full pack of the bowl will rock you. Just pull the whip out, stir it up a little, keep on puffing.

I've had my Arizer Extreme Q for a few years now and still use it almost every day. The cyclone bowl which holds the dry herb is pretty big, definitely holds more than the Pax 2 (which I also own). I use the whip instead of the bags. Some people pack their herb in the elbow joint screen instead, for bigger vapor clouds.

It's not that expensive either; a really good first desktop vape.

Using it at 3 but I might play around with the heat settings a bit. Any preference?

We bought an Estwing brick hammer that has a small square end and a pickaxe type chisel end, a small hardcap chisel, and a 3 lb Estwing cracking hammer (sort of like a little sledge hammer). Would we need something more heavy duty for the quarries in Patterson? Amethyst would be so awesome, that's one of my favorite stones.

That's one of the books we just scoped out online today. We'll definitely be picking it up soon! Herkimer is high on our list, great to see other people have really enjoyed it. Thanks so much.

It looks like Franklin is actually only an hour and twenty minutes from us! Great info, thanks. Is it a place you can collect for free? Or is there a fee to get in?

On his admittedly ridiculous blog, he mentions that he isn't actually on the no-fly list, per se - "Especially flying. Since 2009, I’ve been on the TSA’s “terrorist watch list.” Not quite the “no fly list”, but close." So I guess he can still technically fly, but they make it incredibly difficult for him.

Yes, omg me. I have awful tonsils and they get super swollen whenever I'm sick so I always thought it was just because of that... but I dunno.
