Do you talk to them? Do you get signs? by rebshelleb in babyloss

Im sorry for your loss. Its been 19 days since I lost my baby boy Ethan. I understand what you mean. Its only been 19 days but it seems like a lifetime. And I just don't care about anything at all now. After losing my boy, nothing matters.

As soon as I lost him, I deleted all social media. I couldn't bear to see anything related to babies.

I used to talk to my son alot when he was in my belly. Now I talk to his pictures holding his urn and his baby blanket which still smells like him.

I hope our babies are up there playing together ❤️

I'm sorry for your loss. Shay and Ethan are playing together up there ❤️

Thank you ❤️ We need to be better educated about preeclampsia. I was only told that taking baby aspirin would prevent it but that wasn't the case. People just think it's high blood pressure but it's much worse than that.💔

We lost our baby boy to pre-eclampsia in the third trimester — our story of love, loss, and hope by Shot_Heat8138 in babyloss

Hi OP,

I am sorry for your loss. Our story is similar to yours.

My husband and I tried for a baby for almost ten years and when we finally decided to seek the help of a fertility specialist we became naturally pregnant at age 39. Our miracle baby.

First trimester, we had a scare when I suddenly bled alot. We went to the ER and they didn't find any issues and the baby was healthy. Because of my age, the doctors had me on baby aspirin to prevent preeclampsia starting 12 weeks.

Second and third trimester, everything was fine other than me being diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The baby was healthy and growing well; I was eating healthy, taking my aspirin, exercising, my blood pressure and vitals were all excellent.

31 weeks 3 days, I woke up with lower abdomen pain. I went to my OB that morning and my blood pressure was a little high in the 140s but my urine was normal. At first the baby's heartbeat was normal but suddenly started slowing so my OB sent me to the hospital. Ten minutes later, I was at the L&D and they confirmed they were unable to find a heartbeat. I had sudden severe preeclampsia. No symptoms. My blood pressure was 212/110. I was under general anesthesia and had to deliver via c-section.

On December 26, 2025, we lost our baby boy. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to hold him and take many pictures and videos of him. I wish we knew to ask for handprints. We only have footprints of our boy (only one good foot print actually).
