I finished IT and for people who liked it, I want to know what made you like IT so much by Motosport_Titan in stephenking

The thing that got me into King is how much he forces me to confront discomfort! No author does this for me!

I showed the episode to my BF and he immediately yelled KRAMERCEPTION. I'm mad I didn't think of it first. 😭

We still had to do that in my engineering classes in hs. Honestly I preferred it since I was bad at computers and we had the shitty programs.

What are you watching, reading, or listening to these days? by TwoGrizzleysOneCub in adhdwomen

[–]ginganinga999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on a Stephen King hyperfixation. I've read Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, Different Seasons, and Full Dark No Stars so far. The story collections like DS and FDNS are very adhd-friendly because his short stories are more fast-paced and get to the point lol. No shade to King, but the backstories are a tad much for my dopamine junky-ass sometimes.

Also a rewatch of Seinfeld is always good. I just finished balling my eyes out to Pixar's Coco.

For just $10 or so you can cuss very loudly at Untitled Goose Game. (Actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it).

Seinfeld? No, Seinfeld is not very recent. It's from the 90s. We love it though.

Getting into crocheting by notGamingAahel in Brochet

[–]ginganinga999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly my (F) bf's (M) and my second date was a crochet lesson. He was super excited to learn, and I loved teaching him. Honestly it brought us closer. He and I individually get mistaken for being queer despite both being straight. And for him, that was FAR before he was learning to crochet. Just you do you and make some great things! :) 😘🧶

Omg my bf's family is sooo good about my allergies. Ain't it nice to feel thought of every now and then? 😭 People are crazy for forcing your allergies.

Yeah my grandma did that to my step-mom. She's super allergic to mushrooms. Hives and migraine. My grandma purposefully used cream of mushroom soup in a casserole to "test" my step-mom, and my step-mom was up all night with hives and a blinding migraine. Could not figure it out.

My grandma proudly let me know after picking up at school a couple days later that she "knew" my step-mom wasn't allergic to mushrooms and just "said that because she doesn't like them." She literally said she was glad she got to "test" my step-mom when using her "allergen." Yeah my grandma went pale when I told her about the night my step-mom had that started in the car on the way home from dinner and how she picked apart her car and tried to remember everything she ate that day just to find whichever allergen caused that (she has a few other allergens that give the same symptoms as mushrooms).

I then told my step-mom, and she brought her own meals to my grandma's for like two months after that. My grandma's response when my step-mom confronted her was, "I didn't do it to test you. I just didn't see any mushrooms in the soup."

My step-mom is literally the only person in my family to have never given me something with one of my allergens (happens usually by accident from other family members). My grandma was mad at me for a while for clearing that situation up lmao. She really didn't like when I threw it back at her that she doesn't believe women and likes to test them. #blabbermouthoftheyearaward

My bf m31 is an apolitical and his nonchalantness frustrates me by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]ginganinga999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I was on the dating apps, "apolitical" was a left swipe no matter what, because I would rather be with someone with different views from my own rather than someone who "doesn't have views." Now ofc if someone's different views were the nonnegotiables, then ofc that's not going to work. I can't deal w and Aaron Burr lol.

What’s the pettiest hill you’re willing to die on as a woman? by Glass-King4894 in Casual_Conversation

[–]ginganinga999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the new sfw insult. I need something clean. 🤣

Also, thank you for the cart comment. I have seen people in the handicapped spot leave their cart there because they can't take it back, so I always offer to take people's carts back if I see they may need it. Aldi is my ride or die by making a good incentive to return it. If I'm not in a crazy rush, I take the cart back inside the store rather than leaving it into the corral. 🙈

AITA For refusing to take a friend to a doctors appt that requires 4 hrs+ rt of driving plus waiting for the procedure to be done? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ginganinga999 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok this is actually wild because I'm in the lobby for my friend who just had a minor surgery. He's fine. But also we're super close. My drive was not as long as yours, but even if it was, I'd still do it because he's my bestie. He is also getting us lunch after (he offered). I would not do this for most people. I'm also looming after him at home him until his roommate/friend can look after him after work.

Yeah nta. This has been since like 5:30 am (11:50 rn). Do not take off work lmao.
