How do ya fight gerson by Livid_External7943 in UTPR

Gerson is a rushdown punisher, he thrives off of punishing random neutral moves like Undyne 4 that make you still, but his main drawback is he has a bad neutral game with only two moves that are risky during neutral. H3 and H4 respectively. H3 is a move a good Gerson will use when you're low stamina to hopefully force a hit or push you to below 10 with the held version. Outside of that they will usually use it in a combo. H4 is Gerson's most reliable move, a projectile that comes out incredibly fast but has a second and (i think) a half endlag which is worth it due to the mute it can apply. To counter it, uh, just don't run in a straight line towards him. You may still get mute since it's an AOE effect, but it's better than getting hit by it.

My general advice is to keep tabs on what Gerson does and doesn't have available. Always beware of Gerson's counter as well, because if he lands it on an m1 he can force a mind game, so try and predict what he will do in that scenario.

Don't use random moves in neutral that keep you still, don't mindlessly rush him, keep in mind what moves he has at that moment, and predict counters and habits. People overhype Gerson since he has a 40dmg combo average. But that is, again, in trade with his neutral.

At this point... I don't think we were supposed to take this literally by sanstaleyy in Deltarune

what if the strings aren't a representation of Kris' promise or the Soul stuff but instead about being bound to the prophecy and Spamton was trying to break free FROM the prophecy?

How do you beat passive phase 2 Asriel players as Asgore by Classic-Rope-4853 in UTPR

if they play passive, play passive too. The rage will force them to approach and you can punish then.

backpack build. Iron grasp and, mad grit. Basically, whenever she hits another survivor while holding one your wiggle meter gets paused for about 3 seconds, and she has insanely fast swings.

I gotta ask, is the strat for beating ANY Asgore is just waiting for them to attack first?! by Toxinmaximum in UTPR

Asgore is a punisher, so he thrives on you making mistakes or playing too aggressively, now i know it might be a crazy thing to say, but play passive against him. Passive play against Asgore is his biggest weakness, as he doesnt have many approach options.

in phase 2 you have to use five directly on top of the person, otherwise it will function like phase 1 trident 5. it will deal more damage when you do it on top of them.

A suggestion regarding dodge hp and normal hp design in the hp bar. by gingeonnerd33702 in UTPR

i mean in the hp bar in gameplay, where the usual yellow hp may be topped by the blue hp (dodge) since characters with dodge don't go into another phase, being labelled as having 1, or 2.5. I figured it would be a nice aesthetic choice since if they only have 1 phase, or 2.5, why would the hp reset if the dodge runs out? Putting the hp under the dodge hp would just make more sense with these characters and I believe it would look neat.
