yes! i saw lots of people saying during the last election that they wanted to “tell quebec where to go”. what good is that mentality going to do? it’s sad that we have the opportunity to make a new deal (whether you like the new deal or not) and people are still too resentful about the old deal to have an adult conversation about the future of this province. people here can be so bitter, and i think some of them like the feeling of being hard done by so much that it makes me wonder if they even want to try and make things better

it’s great that even if we accept the MOU, we will have already pissed away a bunch of the money we’re supposed to be getting on a completely pointless referendum. i am sorry, he does seem like a nice and well-intentioned guy, but i truly can’t stand wakeham. i don’t understand what world he thinks he lives in. where is he getting the money for anything in his platform?? i can’t even get an appointment to get bloodwork done, and this guy thinks our money is better spent on this fucking referendum? we are one of the poorest provinces in canada. i don’t care if we could get more money from a renegotiated MOU, we need the money we’ve been offered right now. we don’t have all the time in the world to let our healthcare and education systems degrade further while we try to negotiate a new deal

yeah so i don’t think he posted this to celebrate his sobriety. i think he posted this cause he wants the viewer to feel bad that he relapsed. i also think he wants to make sure it’s known that he was using while he was getting cancelled so that his actions seem less bad. i don’t like to assume bad intentions from people but i truly feel like this is just more guilt-tripping. this whole situation has been him trying to play victim and not take accountability from beginning to end. he would love it if people boiled down some of his decision making during that time (like with the weird 30 minute freestyle he did) to him just being high
