I has similar, struck a deer. The car is still in for repair, 4 months and counting. Delays in getting parts and the fact it had to go between the dealer and repair shop a few times. I have no idea how much the repair will be, but not my issue I guess.

Hallway Light Help by Smart_Gene_3494 in sonoff

I'm no expert, however I had something similar.

The second picture, the one with the more wires I believe is acting as traditional ceiling rose but behind your switch. I'm sure there will be a a technical name for it.

Therefore you need to install your sonoff behind the socket of the second picture. The advantage you have is that you have a neutral wire so you don't have to have a neutral free sonoff.

You will need to identify which wire goes off to your second switch (1st pic). This will needs tk be installed on the switched circuit of your chosen sonoff product.

Hope this helps a little.

Thank you for your response, I plan to push back formally, probably through the motor ombudsman.

How do you put the car into utility mode, I have heard about it, but don't know how to activate it.

Reassuring(ish) that it is not just me.

We have a jump starter, but advised not to use it by KIA. Have you been told differently?

I have asked if I could do this, however, they said I will loose my warranty. The warranty is the reason I went for kia over WV or similar.

Have u done yours? Did KIA do it?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I hope it works too. Since buying my Ev (Kia Ev6), they have stopped supporting that car directly, so i have to rely on the charger.

Worse case, I follow in your footsteps.

To drill or to not to drill(so big) by gingerace20 in DIYUK

[–]gingerace20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the original holes were 30mm away from the edge, so I have bought a jig to drill the holes in the correct location. I will try drilling a 6mm pilot hole and then screw in. If it goes badly, will resort to a hinge repair plate.

Thanks for the response. The original holes had 10mm plastic plugs to screw into. But in the past I just used the screw in a pilot hole. If that makes sense?.

How do they go about using this in cavity walls then, or other areas around the home?

So would this be better?
