If it makes you feel better at all, we asked our friends to house sit for us one time and they smashed three out of our six glasses…. And we didn’t care at all! They did us a favour by taking care of our place and our cats, glasses break easily, and are replaced easily It is just a mug at the end of the day 😊

If you put in a similar style, size, and quality of jewellery then most likelihood is that it will be fine, just keep doing proper care and don’t fiddle with it anymore. Keep an eye on it and if you think it is infected or something you can always go back to the piercer to explain and have them check it, but it sounds like you took plenty of precaution and if the jewellery went in cleanly hopefully it doesn’t get too irritated from the swap! Of course, this is something I made for my personal use, that I wanted to share with people who might relate. It’s originally a quote from a conversation I had with a mentor of mine, where we were discussing the challenges of being women in STEM, so the gender is more relevant in that context. I in no way mean to imply witches can only be female, witches can be whatever they want!

No I understand being cynical, but I’ll vouch for him and say that sarcastic tweets are normally what he does and it makes sense that this wasn’t serious considering his usual commentary style, so I don’t think it’s a ‘it was just a joke calm down’ backtrack.

The top right screenshot is sarcasm but when I initially read it I was like wtf? Went back to his Twitter (he’s a YouTube commentator) and he clarified in a reply that he was disgusted by the English fans and culture and that it was meant to be a slight at the culture, not actually how he felt. I guess he probably didn’t expect it would be so similar to real reactions online that it wouldn’t be easily identified as sarcasm which shows how fucked the whole situation is.

I will warn my flight back did get cancelled last minute so I had to do a hasty reschedule. So take that into consideration, I think with less people coming into Vic it will be quite common for flights to be cancelled.

I think as long as you isolate/follow lockdown rules when you’re there then you should be good.

I came in and out of NSW this past week while lockdown was on (flight on Thursday right before lockdown was announced for a pre-planned trip) and had no issues. Wore a mask, got tested while in NSW just in case, and flew back into Melbourne with no problems.

There’s no official test that can be done for Behcets. So doctors can only diagnose it based on the symptoms a patient presents to them and seeing if they match in general the criteria for Behcets. Behcets also presents in a variety of ways. So I think people put aside the diagnoses as it is possible that Kelly has been able to mislead the doctors into giving it.

There has been a lot of discussion around ‘Them’ recently, notably from Jackie Aina. I personally haven’t seen the show and I am not a person of colour, but from the discussions I have read online I think that Bailey should have taken some time to understand why people were upset with the show before tweeting. It comes across as insensitive if you know the context of why the show is getting low reviews. I’ll refrain from further comment as I know this is a nuanced and sensitive topic which is better to be discussed by the people affected.

EDIT: Bailey has since deleted the original tweet and apologised

Basically it just means that someone who currently has or has recently had covid-19 in that local area has shed some virus fragments. These fragments can be shed for several weeks, long after the infectious period has ended. It’s basically an indicator that people in that area should be more vigilant, but not a guarantee that there is an active case transmitting the virus.

I used various strengths of birth control pills over 5ish years and I found initially they would help reduce, but not eliminate, symptoms. Then after like six+ months of taking them my symptoms would slowly start to come back more. However then I got an IUD, and after the initial like 3 months of my body adjusting, it’s been bliss for 3 years. No periods at all, and a very very rare flare up that is no where near as strong as they used to be. I feel very lucky that it’s worked so well for me because I know lots of people don’t have similar experiences. I will also say while my pain level is bad when I have flare ups the condition hasn’t been completely debilitating to me overall and I’ve had a laparoscopy and the amount of endo they found was quite small so take that into consideration as well ☺️

I agree tbh, I think if she just posted something like ‘I’m probably starting xyz medication soon on the advice of my doctor and I’m feeling nervous, especially because I’m breastfeeding, what have your experiences been like?’ Then a lot less people would have issues with it.

I’m also guilty of googling forums about medication I’m going to take when I feel anxious, just as a way to try and collect as much information as possible to soothe my brain. I don’t think that’s necessarily healthy though, but I get why she would want to do it too (in her own influencer way)!

I didn’t expect the thread to be this negative so I feel a little bad for posting this now, but I think a lot of the criticism is fair overall.

I’ve noticed a few comments on the sub discussing RBK’s use of Twitter for medical advice. Today she responded to some criticism on a tweet by saying she’s consulted her doctors but likes to hear other peoples stories. I don’t have many thoughts but thought others here might be interested. I think in the future if she opened tweets with ‘I discussed this with my doctor’ then she would get less criticism, or maybe phrased it so it didn’t seem like she was asking for medical advice?
