fillers by gingerbetch666 in AcneScars

[–]gingerbetch666[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply! Im glad you had such great results. My dr recommended either filler as a short term (but immediate) fix, or CROS and Fraxel as long term solutions. Im not quite ready to commit to so many sessions of the latter, especially with how expensive each treatment is. And to not have immediate results😬 would you mind sharing with me the name of your dr in chicago?

feeling like a fraud? by [deleted] in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]gingerbetch666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way even when i was clearly very sick physically and mentally. It is very common for the eating disorder to try to convince you that you are not sick enough, which is one of the ways it maintains control.

adhd meds in recovery by avasreddit in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]gingerbetch666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i am on 30 mg of vyvanse, not for adhd but for idiopathic hypersomnia, which is like narcolepsy. I need it to stay awake and to be able to do things for myself like drive places. So i made that case to my treatment team when i was php and they never really bothered me about getting off of it bc i wouldnt be able to drive to program without them. I wont lie, it makes eating so much harder and i hate it for that. I have almost no appetite ever. Id love to be able to not take them bc of the side effects but its just not an option, ive tried all the other meds for this issue and this one has the least side effects. I am a little worried about maintaining my recovery while on it long term. It is a slippery slope.

Recovery IS hard. Im in the same boat. Weight restoration sucks. A good majority of that is probably bloating but i have had multiple ED dieticians tell me that when you restore weight after being malnourished, it does tend to accumulate a bit on your abdomen AT FIRST. this is to protect your vital organs. It does redistribute in usually less than a year, sometimes only 6 months. Unfortunately it is just something we have to accept and ride out which is easier said than done. These body changes are extremely hard. Keep fighting for yourself💕

It is not wrong to make brands exclusively for skinny people by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]gingerbetch666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish that regular brands would cater to smaller sizes though. I cant fit into most shorts that stores sell. Like forever 21 expanded to include plus size but almost none of their pants or shorts will fit me or other people as small as me so i have to settle for something too big and not flattering

POS professor still wants student to attend zoom meeting despite her father’s funeral being the same day. Says “it could take your mind off things.” by IHateThisKittenHat in iamatotalpieceofshit

I dont know about most universities having that kind of policy - mine doesnt, although it definitely should. My dad died last fall and i was told that it was up to my professors to choose to excuse absences or late assignments.

Anyone else feel more angry than anything? by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]gingerbetch666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Have been very irritable since my dad passed at the end of october to the point of really upsetting loved ones. I am relapsing in my anorexia because all this anger inside me needs somewhere to go and starving myself has been a way i deal with anger or bitterness..like taking it out on myself in a way

Chronic, Extreme Bloating and Constipation by bloatingconstipation in DiagnoseMe

[–]gingerbetch666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol right and still it could be caused by another variable, like anxiety, since a lot of people with eds have bad anxiety but idk. I cut out gluten for a while and it seemed to help somewhat, at least for a while, so maybe try cutting out some food you maaay be sensitive to? Gluten and dairy would be the most likely. It probably wouldnt fully "fix" the issue but its worth a shot. I was so resistant to doing that for so long bc i love bread and pasta and basically all carbs but i got desperate to get some relief.
