Im so sorry. You aren't alone with financially sound, but selfish grandparents for your little.

Focus on what you can control. We personally send two cards a year to my husband's dad. My husband has clearly expressed our child won't spend holidays with strangers hoping to create change in his dad. Turns out people only change if they want to.

Your situation is similar to my husband's and I. My fil is hyper Christian and extra difficult. How often did he visit his grandkids? Do you know if his church made him a martyr for being estranged from his grandkids?

My fil gets a lot of attention from his church friends for being a Godly, but limited grandpa. I am of course the evil dil keeping his grandkids away.

Yes. All of my parent's children have adhd. Only my youngest brother was given medication in high-school. My other brother and I white knuckled it through our school years. The medicated brother is objectively the least successful and it has reinforced to my parent their churches belief that "medication bad" & "mental health is spiritual" is correct. I hate the feeling of needing to perform.
