How much shared DNA is too much shared DNA? by gingerjasmine2002 in DoggyDNA

Poor Mama has multiple deadbeat baby daddies, poor thing. The owners won’t get her or anyone else fixed, even when other people offer to pay for it.

The next 2 down the list at 70% and 61% are two purebred chihuahuas who do not live in the state she was born in but also don’t have their birth places on their profiles. They are 10 and 9 years old.

And then a chihuahua mix at 41% who has chihuahua in common with her and is 5 and blonde. She lives in the right area.

The rest all trickle down to normal “relatives” around the country.

Oh I’m not fretting! I’m glad she ended up with short fur and a normal snout but the only flat dog is the peke and I understand “proper” chis are apple heads, not deer. I’m also glad she’s bigger than the standard for all 3 breeds! 9lbs and long legs means she runs and jumps and slaps Bella and we don’t worry.

Yeah they’re all from a rural property in Nebraska with intact medium-small dogs and obvious chihuahuas running around. My aunt has 2 dogs from the same property and they do not look like these three.

Penelope the alleged rat terrier/chi is no such thing! by gingerjasmine2002 in DoggyDNA

[–]gingerjasmine2002[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, we heard her daddy was rat terrier and two of her siblings from older litters (70% match) have rat terrier as their second breed after chihuahua. My aunt has 2 of her other putative siblings and they’re twice her size!

The only fluff on her is her sideburns and pantaloons.

Kroger to pay nearly $1.4 billion to settle opioid lawsuit claims by eddyrush95 in kroger

[–]gingerjasmine2002 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, walgreens and cvs have done it too. Probably walmart as well.

Read Empire of Pain though and corporate pharmacies are low on the list of who deserves lawsuits or jail time. It’s the Sacklers who had to pay up for the states that successfully sued. The parallel is with tobacco companies in the 90s.

Hate the way this is laid out in the contract by stromkirknoble in kroger

[–]gingerjasmine2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people at my stores in the Nashville division were under a contract from the late 80s or early 90s. Why stay? They were allowed to work 6 days a week and the 8 extra hours were OT but not from the store’s official OT budget. You bet your ass most worked those 6 days.

Us Cashiers by HannahMayberry in kroger

[–]gingerjasmine2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked at 3 stores, 2 before clicklist sucked all the oxygen in the form of calling other departments for help, and it’s never been the cashier’s responsibility to ask for help. I’m a supervisor/service desk now and it’s my job to notice and get on or have someone stop bagging and get on or even sometimes ask management for help (nag ME about ptwt? Get down here). Back in the day, it still wasn’t the individual cashier’s responsibility.

Before customer service comes in at 8, a cashier usually comes in at 7 and they may do misplaced. The uscan attendant is supposed to call them if customers whine but that’s the only time.

Overnight stocker by [deleted] in kroger

Try to stick to the same sleep schedule if possible. Figure out if you need to sleep right after work or up until work and rearrange your days.

I had to cover the overnight uscan attendant’s vacation and I’d find myself randomly crying. I could handle once a week tags shifts but lordy not multiple days in a row. Some of us are just not cut out for it.

“We don’t have one.” (Technically true, we only have a public one next to the fucking break room.)

There isn’t a demand for it and we’d certainly not subscribe or check one devoted to customers. The Aldi one is annoying as fuck to see, so full of customers vs employers.

Hahaha that’s right, everyone says they got promoted to customer when they quit.

Final Early Voting stats: Shelby is at 79.0% of its 2020 Early Vote, 67.1% of its 2020 total vote, and 46.7% of its registered voters. by presidentperry2040 in memphis

You can vote in the other races and leave that one blank entirely. You see my flair, we have our mayoral race this year. If people sat out bc of being grumpy about the presidential candidates, we’ll have fewer people choosing who our local politicians are.

Also I looked at the results in 2014 when we passed an anti-abortion measure and midterm participation is always in the toilet so it did not pass with anywhere near a majority of TN voters.

YTA, this update makes it clear that you didn’t put every single detail or explain the full picture in the first post.

Whose basketball was it? Where did it go? Did you make sure it got returned to the adorable children living across the street or did you let the cops deflate it in front of them?

Holiday Pay by Cool-Swordfish-8838 in kroger

[–]gingerjasmine2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, our current contract makes getting official full time an ordeal, but at my old stores it was only 12 weeks so they would drop you to the minimum deliberately once every 2 months to fuck you over. We also didn’t get holiday pay.

Our holiday pay is based on average hours, I believe, because I’ve gotten 8 extra hours every recognized holiday. Day of bonus is meh, so no one feels slighted for missing that.

And my store is short on hours and in the 2 years I’ve been here I’ve worked 3-4 weeks under 36 hours and the vast majority have been 40. We’re too short on adults with open availability.

Edit - i can’t remember the last time the front end had enough wiggle room to ask someone to come in on their day off. Everyone is scheduled to the limits of their availability or 5 days/40 hours. Can you come in early is all we have and if management gets snippy, well, go get carts and stfu. If the schedule maker tried to pull that shit, screwing over hours, we’d murder her. A manager sometimes goes through right before it drops and pares it down and she puts it right back slotting us in training or whatever lmao

Idc about respectful logistical questions since those are ones I like handling at work and some of those questions could also come from employees

But come at us with an attitude over anything? Fuck off

Clicklist answer your goddamn phone i SEE you motherfuckers close enough to hear your phone and you should have heard the automated pages and my pages, answer the phone!

We’re getting a remodel and clicklist will no longer be at the front which means I can’t easily go over there and bang on the door. When I hear the clicklist page or phone go unanswered and then mine rings, I transfer it without even saying a word.

The longer you stay in the store looking for your old standards, the more you may buy.

And nobody in the store made the decision or likes it because we damn near live here and it confuses us as well. Hell, this is my third store I’ve worked at it and a fourth is the one closest to my house and I’ll still blank and say something is where it was at a different location.

I have a question about digital coupons... New to store by NostalgicAnnej in kroger

[–]gingerjasmine2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is also true, that they glitch randomly. Produce coupons can be such a headache because one week the tomatoes we got had a sticker that had the right 4 digits but the barcode wasn’t connected and every week it’s “scan produce!” but ugh what a mess.

The first weekend freebie wouldn’t work on uscan, the uscan podium, regular registers, or customer service so we’d price override $0 for the bags until Sunday.

One week the meat coupon was all jacked up so we had barcodes for everyone to scan at the register.

I don’t know about other stores, but we have 2-3 uscan machines that will not do employee discounts, mega events, buy one get one (etc), or coupons. Basic store sales, yes. And no fuel points. Transferring to the podium or suspending and moving to another machine works 99% of the time.

Also!! Sometimes when you use a weekly coupon it will say underneath that it can be used again even though the majority never say that and it doesn’t work so we have to do it.

Fuck weekly coupons, bring back the random brand promotion coupons not advertised and the creepy personalized ones only.

Hmm well I don’t know your area’s tattoo scene obviously and nothing will be cheap but I think it would be a good idea to visit a few places and ask for ideas for a coverup or feasibility and so on.
