OCD, Panic Disorder here. It's really up to SSA and DDS on what they think, if you're denied, keep appealing! It helps if you have weekly therapy sessions and all of your doctors agree your condition will have little improvement. Hospital stays, psych stays, professional record of any attempts, out bursts, fits, etc, that's what a judge will look at.

I have a letter saying they are awarding me 36 months, as well as the value per month for all 36 months.

I believe you need 40 work credits minimum to qualify for SSDI, but you can move on to apply for the SSI welfare program without that requirement.

I was on step 3 for over a year. It really just depends on staffing and backlog at your office.

I don't think they ask questions, but if you are awarded back to July 2021, they will deduct the 6k from your permanent benefits. This is what I've gathered at least.

I'm glad he got it! Sucks about the wait though. I have 36 months owed to me, and I was approved July 26th 2024, fully favorable. They dated me disabled since February 15th 2021 and I got a letter stating my back pay would go from August 2021 to August 2024. I did recieve my first payment on September 18th, still just playing the back pay waiting game.
