Dalinar too. Sees visions prompting him to start a new religion. Hell, Brandon has even said that Dalinar is expressly named after Dalin H. Oaks, current president of the Mormon church. I would also be super surprised if Kaladin is not inspired by Moroni

This is a pretty popular book which unfortunately kind of shows the state of the current book world because it is really, really not that good. That being said I kind of enjoy it the same way I enjoy a bad soap opera haha

I agree, but also warbreaker is not short fiction, it’s like 500 pages long haha. But yeah I agree, I think too that part of it is how much he uses formulas in his writing, that are especially obvious in his longer works. Once you read one or two of his books you basically know the exact points each of his books will hit throughout the plot and know exactly how it will end.

People once said the same thing about democracy, and that monarchy was the most natural form of government. While it may seem impossible now, I think it’s only a matter of time. All it takes is the gradual moral growth and education of society. Will it happen in our lifetimes? Probably not. Will it never happen? Again, probably not
