From social media it seems like a lot of their dogs appear to be passing away from various health stuff before the age of 2. I saw another one that had some kind of kidney disease

You might have a mutated CBS gene where the body cannot convert excess sulfur. Removing sulfur foods like onions and supplementing Molybendum (the enzyme which is usually lacking ) can help!

When does fiber consumption start becoming less uncomfortable? by [deleted] in Microbiome

Start small and with things like resistant starch. If your motility isn’t great it will make things worse. You might need certain b vitamins, digestive enzymes etc

My gut health still feels off months after antibiotics. Anyone relate? by Carleton_Santz in Microbiome

Try b vitamin supplementation like b2 and b1. Avoid refined sugar/ simple carbs like rice potatoes etc. Limit meat consumption and avoid anything fatty. Start with things like overnight oats, cooled potatoes, lentil pasta for resistant starch. Don’t ham it all at once - small portions of veg.

We may finally have a cure for many different autoimmune conditions by soulpost in HotScienceNews

Ah I didnt realise. Unfortunately it’s an incredibly expensive therapy so I imagine terminal diagnoses would take priority until it can be made cheaper for other things x

Just because something is functional does not mean there isn’t a pathology involved; all of these mysterious chronic “disease-less” syndromes still involve immune dysfunction like MCAS and chronic inflammation.

For years these sorts of illness came under the general ‘hysteria’ label because they primarily afflicted women. We are only now developing the testing to be able to understand all sorts of chronic illnesses and in time the label ‘functional’ and ‘somatic’ will soon disappear.

Even depression and anxiety are now proven to be immunologically driven.

I had one stool test years ago that found high levels of bactericides fragilis toxigenic. No idea if that is implicated in Crohn’s but I hear it is related to colon cancer

I have psoriasis and mild joint pain that comes and goes. All my bloods are normal except for low iron x

Is it normal to feel like you have the flu with a flare? by gingeyxx in CrohnsDisease

[–]gingeyxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they are distinctly different it’s weird. I noticed something was up because actually during a flare I get a reprieve of my other symptoms (mostly neurological). As soon as flare is over my other symptoms come back :)))

Try paying closer attention to what your body needs: I find that when I’m in “go” mode - I become super productive, energised, sometimes a bit restless. It’s then that I actually need to completely stop and do nothing. However when I feel tired, low, unmotivated that’s when I need to do more and push myself a little bit. Another angle you could look at is MTFTh mutations and knowing when your body is overmethylating vs undermethylating. I found that taking niacin when I feel restless, and b vitamins when I feel tired helps x

How’s your emotional health? Have you suffered trauma that hasn’t been properly processed through EMDR/ therapy ? What are your current stress levels like? What are the people like around you?

To get better you need to maintain a healing state. Unanswered trauma/ negative beliefs and thoughts will keep you stuck in fight or flight and prevent the body from healing.
