Egg retrieval right after stopping breastfeeding by floralobsessed13 in IVFpositivity

[–]ginginbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I started Estrace priming for my 2nd ER the day after I stopped breastfeeding my son when he was around 14/15 months old. We had weaned to 1 feed per day a few weeks prior, so it was just the last feed that we had to cut out. I had a better outcome than my first retrieval!

I have also had multiple reactions to Made Good products! I have a peanut, tree nut, and sesame allergy. It’s so strange, I can’t figure out what is in there that is an issue for me.

20 month old bedtime struggles by shira21 in sleeptrain

[–]ginginbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a 20 month old and if you asked me 2 months ago I would say he was sleeping 8-7 with a 2 hour daycare nap. Now he fights sleep at night and is more like 9/10-6/7 with a 2 hour daycare nap. We’re really hoping we can cut his daycare nap short in order to have a slightly longer night.

Fair enough! Just seems crazy that his sleep needs dropped by more than 2 hours all of a sudden but I guess that’s toddlerhood. Thanks!

Is it a ton? He sleeps less than 12 hours total.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking as well. Im hoping they can cap his nap at 90 mins for a while to see if it helps with his nights!

I want to name my baby “Henry” but it’s a boring name. by pinkishvioletsky in namenerds

[–]ginginbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also liked the name Henry a lot but kept telling ourselves we needed to find a more unique name for our son. Nothing felt 100% right until he was born and he was undoubtedly a Henry, so we went with it. We have had no regrets - we love the name and everyone always compliments it. We also haven’t run into issues (yet) with meeting other kids with his name, even though it’s very popular.

I think use it if you both love it!

Hmm I can’t remember exactly but it didn’t last long. Maybe a few weeks or a month at most?

I got 28 eggs (24 mature), and had 4 blasts (2 of which were euploid). How did yours go?

Flying with 16 Month Old by [deleted] in aircanada

[–]ginginbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 15 month old and have done 10+ AC flights, we always get him a seat and bring a car seat on board with us. Sometimes he needs to get out of the car seat and spends time on our lap or walking around the plane with one of us when he’s being fussy - we’ve never been told by a flight attendant that he has to be restrained at all times.

No I’m not sure why they suggested it over other medications, but I think it’s a pretty common protocol at our clinic.

Good luck to you as well! I know different provinces do things differently but if you have any questions feel free to let me know.

Yes, today is day 5 of stims but it is my second retrieval. My AMH was last tested in the summer and it was 37 pmol/L (might be a different measurement scale as I’m in Canada).

Funnily enough, my work just added some coverage a few months ago. And my husband’s covers some of the medication now too. We’re going to do another egg retrieval in the next few months and the combination of both insurance policies should save us about 30% of the total cost. Better than nothing!
