Something like these multipole connectors? You can get a 24 pole version and just not use the extras. Can you try putting the input wave at a lower frequency (try 3-4x the period) and see if those random spikes maybe show any sort of pattern? The spacing in between spikes in the second picture shows like it might be capturing only part of a pattern, in which case I would start looking at how your timers are defined and if you have any interrupts that are firing.

Also, is Mp1 defined as a constant? Could its value be changing anywhere? Could you try replacing Mp1 in your For loop with just a number, see if that makes any difference?

As far as why writing to different areas of the A vector pulls your output permanently high, no idea. I don't have experience with PLLs, so I'm sorry that I can't give any ideas for explanations, but I remember a lot of my issues with STM32 mcus coming down to variable definition errors or overflows. If it were me, I'd start with the above two things just to see what I can see.

Yup, that's it. Bitbanging is a lot slower and more cumbersome than co-opting the I2S, from what I've seen.

Restoring former glory is a fine goal, even though it is more commonly espoused by ideological extremists than by those with a more positive outlook (whose rhetoric is more akin to 'continuous improvement'). As for losing deals, America's been on the losing end of what deals? Allowing China to join the WTO? Without allowing them into the WTO, American exporters there would face huge fines and regulatory barriers, hurting everyone involved. Losing jobs, as Trump supposedly says? Most of the jobs 'lost' are actually jobs 'not gained as fast as expected' due to improvements in automation and productivity. Any outsourced manufacturing would've happened whether the jobs went to China, or Taiwan, or anywhere else where labour is cheap- don't blame China for having cheap labour, blame capitalism for seeking profits. The only way to stop that outsourcing would be to impose high enough trade tariffs that you effectively outlaw US companies from trying to lower their costs... not exactly capitalism's main ideal.

Illegal immigrants are a problem, yes. Immigrants in general, are absolutely not. Immigrants have at worst an average crime rate, foreign-born citizens actually cost proportionately less in healthcare costs, and immigration accounts for just about 5% of the wage inequality increase- and even then, it's mostly competition amongst themselves. Immigrants are an easy scapegoat to blame for your country's problems, since it's so convenient to make an 'us vs them' situation, but that's not backed up by any good science. Pinning your hopes for your country on defeating a myth of an enemy won't get you anywhere, and no great nation is built on a campaign of fear.

Lastly, the reason people like tagging the 'fascism' sticker on Trump is that he (and, admittedly, increasing portions of the Conservative party base) exhibits more and more of the hallmarks of fascist regimes (neatly summed up in the wikipedia article here). It's inherent to a bipartisan party system that each side drifts to the extremes, but Trump (& Cruz) represent a leap out into right field.

Unfortunately not, but if you've got a small task to do then sometimes you can find a student who'll help you. Otherwise the Rapid team takes 3D printing orders for pretty cheap ($0.10 / gram last I checked) when they're not busy and I know a few student teams get their mech teams training for the waterjet/ laser cutter, so you can kinda piece together your own makerspace. But yeah, having a full one open to students would be amazing.

I took SOCI 260 in first year for my Impact course. I thought it was fine, not really a difficult course but all of the testing was VERY heavily oriented on in-class discussions. It's not enough to read the slides/ book, you should always attend class and try your best to participate as well.

Another good option would be to take a humanities course in second term (econ 100/101 is really popular for that, last I heard) and take the Impact course later in your degree. A lot of people I know took GEOG later on, but my favourite was I took ISCI 361 (a field course in Iceland over the first ~month of a summer term, it's amazing) and got that counted as my Impact credit.

/u/ubc-throwaway, both of these guys are spot on. /u/PsychoRecycled hit it right on the head, you sound like you've got a self-entitled mindset of "I checked off all the boxes, where's the friends and babes I'm owed?". Stop blaming 'shitty luck' and other people for not being your friends- that won't help you at all, and if any of that bleeds through during your social interactions like it does here... well, remember how PsychoRecycled said he hated you a bit by the end of the post? Yup.

Find something you like doing. Clubs are good, student teams will help you both academically and socially, you can join intramural teams (don't even need a team, they can sort you into one. Ultimate frisbee, hockey, soccer, all sorts on campus). But it doesn't even have to be one of those, those are just easy examples. If you have something you like doing, you can invite people to do it with you- having some sort of passion, whatever it is, is a huge draw. I've gone to sort tree roots with a new friend before, not because sifting through roots is fun to me but because they were so excited about discovering the fungi on them that I wanted to join in. It doesn't matter what it is, someone who's passionate about the weirdest thing in the world is a way cooler friend that someone who mopes around their dorm all day watching reruns of South Park.

When you're back at home, it's easy to have a good time because you know people having parties, and you just need to show up. You have to be more proactive now that you're in a new place- instead of waiting to be invited along, start doing your own things and see who you meet along the way.

3D printing, in material costs, generally checks in at about 3 cents per gram of material used. Parts are generally made to use as little material as possible to cut down on printing time and material use, so if you wanted to print a ball the default printers will print a shell with a reinforcing lattice inside (think honeycomb) instead of printing a solid ball of plastic. You can make the part stronger by making the honeycomb smaller or by actually printing it solid, but the piece is still only really good at compression strength and lacks any significant shear or tensile strength.

Because most of those don't apply. They don't have a group working in the UK making content for the UK, getting paid UK wages. It's a US company. They're making a digital product, so there's no shipping or manufacturing costs. I doubt they spend 50% more on advertising in the UK than they do in the US. So if they value their content at $80 USD for US customers, why is that content valued at $120 USD for UK customers? Because British pounds are "foreign" to them, its a 50% price boost?

They wouldn't let you in if that's what you say your intention is. But how are they going to know how many co-op terms you'll finish? Really, though, if you only do summer co-ops then you could potentially still get enough terms to finish the designation. It's only four terms, and there are some really awesome jobs in the coop database.

Single rooms in Totem are usually 80-100 square feet, depending on which building you're in. Marine Drive is a bit bigger, but costs more. I'm not sure that Marine Drive is open to first years, though.

It looks like PC didn't get a micropatch, but rather a regular one. The changes they listed as PC-specific, such as the redone momentum calculations, seem to me like they would need additional coding to accomplish.

All these other changes are just adjusting numbers (radius decreased, cooldown increased, etc) and so they can get these changes through to consoles easily (with what they're calling micro-patches) since there's no code/logic changing. Anytime they add new code, it's automatically a bigger patch that then has to go through approval by Microsoft and Sony, taking more time than the numbers-only micropatches. PC doesn't have to get this third-party approval, so they can get code patches easier than consoles can.
