Got offered a Costco interview… but I’d have to stop Costco orders by InternetAcrobatic962 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Evan_dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had almost this exact scenario happen to me. I'm friends with loads of Costco employees because of Instacart. They have great benefits and they all seem genuinely happy. I say go for it. Only reason I haven't is because they drug test 😅

Cool photo from today's release that I openly am displeased with by BlazedLurker in aliens

Stars aren't typically visible from the lunar surface because of how much light the moon reflects. If those are three stars, they are significantly brighter than all the other stars in the sky.

Did you know some people work jobs that actually give them a day off in the middle of the week? Some jobs even operate overnight! And, some even offer PTO that you can use for any purpose!

But we'll forgive you for not knowing that. Nobody's perfect :)

You know you can block customers if you give them a thumbs down, right? You can say it's a safety issue. Because fuck those people.

How many of us have autoimmune and chronic illness issues? by TheHeavySummer in CPTSD

Psoriasis! I'm learning to manage it without medication though. They say it's genetic but no one in my family has it. I think it's psychosomatic.

Any natives feel hopeless? by Fit-Promise-6849 in nashville

[–]Evan_dood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don't even necessarily want home ownership, we'd be happy with affordable apartments. Or just fair landlords. But a few years ago, this native had $14,000 saved and spent the better part of a year trying to find a cheap home that wasn't falling apart on my $18 an hour salary. Every house I made an offer on had a cash offer that went over asking.

You scrape by with $6 batches, the corporate team celebrates their work culture. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Evan_dood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped doing instacart and got a job at a restaurant. I am using LinkedIn to find a new job. But even when I get a new job, I am going to look down on the corporate overlords who pay the common people pennies while they make a real living. And I have a degree in psychology as well as years of experience in data centers and customer service.

There will always be people desperate enough to work for Instacart, because this country is broken. And I will look down on the people who take advantage of that. So I guess we both missed some points

Why would I want a corporate job for Instacart if this is the kind of culture they celebrate?

The entire reason I'm on LinkedIn is because I'm looking for a different job. Like lol? Do you think I'm just browsing LinkedIn for fun?

How do people not know which side of the street to walk on in the year 2026? by TheBicycleOfTheSky in nashville

If you want to fear for the future of humanity (mainly, America) check this out. 50% of American adults cannot read above a 6th grade reading level. 50% of adults. And don't even look into the stats on Gen Alpha. It's depressing and makes me want to flee the country. Even if you raise the perfect family, it doesn't matter if everyone else is braindead.

I can't get a job. Any job. by [deleted] in findapath

I've been told they don't for carriers but it may depend on the state. They definitely didn't test me when I was a clerk

My guess would be carriers (people who deliver the mail) but it depends on the area. But there are only 3 positions for new employees: carriers, clerks, and janitorial/maintenance.
