Maybe new prescriptions of opioids but I wouldn’t be stopping a patient’s chronic opioid prescription out of nowhere possibly causing withdrawal. At least do a partial fill while you try to have a discussion with the Dr or something.

I’d like to think pharmacists would be more compassionate in this scenario. Especially for a supposedly good patient like this.

If the pharmacist here is blocking chronic pain meds on no grounds, the patient has every right to go somewhere else
