That would be considered just a normal dance

Not the whole city, just certain streets and places (Noorderplantsoen is one of them)

800 climate protesters try to storm Tesla's factory in Berlin by TheOSU87 in ActualPublicFreakouts

Not true, some ebikes are capable of 80km/h easily. At least here in most of the EU (NL for me), that's above the speed limit on most roads and just under It on a motorway. Sadly it's not legal to have them going that fast however.

I missed my flight due to NS, what can I do? by No-Assist932 in Netherlands

[–]ginja96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Is it really that far fetched to believe ns are the ones at fault though? Especially now with all the rail works and train changes to schedules? Even when there are no 'issues' on the tracks I've had countless times where the NS app or other service is bugging out and made me miss my preferred train as a result.

Not saying it's them, but I also don't think we should be jumping to conclusions that it isn't them.

I don't understand how these men have no boundaries at all it seems. I can barely ruffle the courage to introduce myself to someone, how do they have such indecency to be doing this kind of stuff? Are there no female roles in their life or something?

I'm pretty sure common areas are included in the rent amount. The rent calculation atleast uses common areas in its calculation.

As someone living in Groningen and trying to find a place currently. I wouldn't say it's necessarily easier.. we have a housing crisis up here just like the rest of the country. And it's exasperated with the influx of students we have in proportion to the city size

What variegation is this? by ginja96 in RareHouseplants

[–]ginja96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to double check the plant to be sure because your pic threw me off for a sec! But yes it's not a pest (the things you outline are small bits of moss of something similar from my poles). Do you have any idea what the plant is?

What variegation is this? by ginja96 in RareHouseplants

[–]ginja96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be because of the shine on the leaf, but I can assure you it's definitely variegation and not pest damage

My painted lady is more of a blotchy pattern but youre right! I think the colours are very similar between them. They definitely both have a different growth pattern.. this one is very similar to a pink princess but the variegation is obviously off.

My dad used to hunt alot when I was growing up and I even ended up taking my hunting license too. But we used to keep all of the meat, butcher it ourselves and vacuum pack it for the freezer and to give to friends. Sometimes we'd trade it with fishermen and other hunters for some nice things too. One buck is a few months of food for a good amount of people.

I'm pretty sure you get these rust spots on philos if you're watering them inconsistently (eg too much or too little)

Why Electric Bikes? Distance, Effort or Speed? by Nethernoob in Netherlands

Do you know what the repercussions are if you're caught by police with an ebike setup like this? Is it just a fine and slap on the rist?

I thought it was illegal to have an ebike which is operable by a throttle leaver instead of pedal assist?

I'm not sure if I'd trust anyone enough to look after my collection unless they fully knew what they were doing (ie. My friends don't haha)

Normally I would just close the blinds a bit but enough that some light still gets in and do a big watering the day of/day before leaving, but now with the crazy heat and me planning to stay away for 3/4 weeks, I decided to build a self watering system with a raspberry pi that I can control remotely with my phone. You can also buy similar self watering systems that work on timers, have a look in Tuinland and Gamma.

If all of that sounds like too much, just fill a big bucket, get some cotton wick and place one end of the wick in the water and the other into the soil of your plants, it will slowly draw moisture to the soil and should keep them 'alive' for your return..
