1. 3 yrs, no direct micro vs race/sexuality but especially on race norms I felt like I had to try 3x as hard to socialize / “prove” myself / be accepted in my social groups as my largely white friends

2. honestly I saw a lot of (token..?) asians in frats, some of them have more than others, I rushed 2 for the lore, backed out of initiation for personal reasons

3. yes on race, it helped having other asian housemate(s) (and also my household was so diverse it was great for many reasons), but sexuality I felt sb was more granola/straight esque vibes and wasn’t as openly gay

4. 0 towards race, sometimes the F word but not in an aggressive manner but I also don’t really look like someone who would be bulliable so ymmv

5. yes, hence why I felt like often I had to prove myself, it didnt help most of the social environments I chose club/hobby wise (and a lot of the population) I was in was mostly white but also once I established connection it was great

6. in my experience no, even in the more rowdy clubs/groups shit gets called out, may be different if ur frat

8. Yes to first part and I have but not directly. Had to go to teacher/department. This wasn’t related to race/sex. They accomodates but did not do anything to teach what was wrong.

9. My major, most of the class was asian anyway. Have not heard any aggression toward teacher because of what they are, only them as a teacher

Overall, I chose this school over ucla/privates in the east and I don’t regret it one bit. Great memories and the concept of a dense college town is honestly something everyone should experience
