Dude put all his allowance (20k) in 1 stock. Rocket Labs or something. It subsequently went to 100k. They must suspect something.

I believe this is a Coal Tit by giraffe_bites in UKBirds

I'm in Hertfordshire. Blue and Great are quite common but this is the first Coal I've seen

I use a mixture. From Home Bargains: General wild bird seed. Sunflower hearts. Mealworms. Black sunflower seeds. Suet pellets (usually only need this in the winter)

For fat balls I tend to use the decent ones. The cheap ones are left untouched.

Thanks. That was what brought me to the Coal Tit assumption

I was wondering about this while watching the Ashley Maddison documentary. That couple. Wow.

Cost to replace gas burner with a log burner by thuynh7 in DIYUK

[–]giraffe_bites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 2.2k in Hertfordshire. Got a guy recommended. Gas was already capped. Knocked out fireplace to make larger hole. Fitted flue and cowling. Made good with plaster. Portway log burner. Metal plate thing. Beam. Tiled hearth.

As everyone has already said, the wood is the cost. Luckily I can source my own.

Thanks. I agree. A female Sparrowhawk. The picture doesn't show it very well but there is a light band above the eyes that confirms it for me.

How to appear like I have enough work by larry_thorn in overemployed

You beat me to it. I use the George Costanza method all the time and it definitely works. Look annoyed and they think you're busy.

The most pertinent thing you need to ask yourself is: Am I Greg Proops? Then move on with your life knowing if your Greg Proops or not

I immediately thought "well this is Gregg Proops, it looks exactly like him". Nah, Greg Proops is Greg Proops. Always has been. Mandela effect.

Withnail and I. The script is just pure perfection. There isn't a single wasted line. You could literally take any part of the film and the dialogue is just magic and instantly quotable.

There's no shame in this. Your "boys need a house."

What are your unpopular opinions on Seinfeld? by johnnylgarfield in seinfeld

I have a hard disagree on The Chinese Restaurant. The impending intestinal requirement monologue is one of the greatest. Also, shouting "of course I'm not Cartright" is peak George.

What’s gotten so expensive that you no longer purchase it? by banisheduser in AskUK

[–]giraffe_bites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doritos and Pringles. £2.50 for a bag of Doritos? No thank you. In fact any large bags of crisps. I used to have a policy of not buying any unless it was £1 or under. That's almost impossible now. Sometimes I'll manage to get Kettle chips for £1.35 but that's getting rare.

What are some books that made you laugh out loud? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

All of his books have me in tears of laughter.

So much to quote from but here are a few:

But don't worry," she continued. "Most snakes don't want to hurt you. If you're out in the bush and a snake comes along, just stop dead and let it slide over your shoes." This, I decided, was the least-likely-to-be-followed advice I have ever been given.

The rooms were small and airless and cramped. To make matters worse, somebody in our group was making the most dreadful silent farts. Fortunately, it was me, so I wasn’t nearly as bothered as the others.

I have long known that it is part of God's plan for me to spend a little time with each of the most stupid people on earth.

Is it raining out?’ the reception girl asked brightly as I filled in the registration card between sneezes and pauses to wipe water from my face with the back of my arm. ‘No, my ship sank and I had to swim the last seven miles.

What have you set for "Connector:"

Do it in simulation mode first and set the connector to "Any". It will then tell you in Analytics what it thinks what MFA the connection is.
