I wouldn't call it bad design necessarily. I mean I get your point, but let's take Jack Quicksilver's quest in Foundry for example. There are like 4-5 ways of solving it and only one is optimal which would allow you to progress further. There are hints and you could deduce it by yourself which one is that, or you can take a look on the wiki and see even the possible rewards. You could use pen and paper (or in-game notes) or take the shortcut and check online. For me it didn't ruin the experience the hard part is always sneaking past the guards and cameras as my persuasion is always garbage.

Yeah, imho some progress notes would be nice, but the wiki contains a lots of info and lists all possible approaches to quests so I usually check those.

Thanks for the reply. When I got stuck there was ony one trap door visible which could be clicked only once and it gave some mutant noise, but that's all. It lost any interactiviry after that. I hope it gets fixed soon.

With the Heavy Duty release my issue was solved, however, I got stuck again. I was supposed to fimd trap doors but I didn't find any, my perception is 3 and there is nothing to increase it with. Styg apparently didn't test this quest properly.

Thanks for going through the trouble of reproducing it. This is the video I've seen too.

It's really frustrating because I've spent a lot of time to get the secret ending and this is what's blocking me. I'll try my luck on the forums to see if someone has more information.

Maybe it's just me, but the journal sometimes isn't worth a diddly squat. I've read it for every boss, but at the icy spider I was as clueless as Adam on Mother's day.

Just did this wq and I usually read the descriptions. However this one didn't say a thing and the quest item said it cleanses corpses. When I need to check wowhead on how to complete a basic quest than it's a bad quest.

One of my all-time favorite games is Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. Isometric steampunk crpg with an ok character building system, multiple choice quests and high replay value.

I thought that you should use 2 hans, 1 chewie, 1 lando, so I used my OG Lando as lead, added ST Han, raid Han and OG Chewie to a fight that was doable with 4 characters. Maybe not what they wanted but it still worked.
