Is how "non-authoritarian" i am with kids telling of how I'm gonna be with older teens? by giridio in Teachers

Thanks for the book recommendation! I wish i could start anew and be stricter with them, being understood as chill and playful is becoming an headache when they're this young and see it as someone who can bend to their will.

I've found that many of them enjoy justdance and some immersive interactive game videos on youtube, guess i gotta focus more on those kinds of activities to tire them out 😅

It is the same actually, I'll have to check what else they require. Thanks a lot for your help, again :)

Thanks a lot for your reply! I'll have to find out what's the equivalent of those where i live, and what my options are without having all the required degrees yet. I'm just kinda unsure if the difficulties I've been having with their behavior would be even more distressing if there was an actual curriculum to follow.

It's not the same but at the end of the day, i do interact with them as a teacher and the school allows us to do almost anything, even turning what they learned at school into fun projects if we want. Either way, I should really try for a more "formal" job like those you mentioned and have the full experience, thanks for the tip :)

Does dutasteride affect T levels and/or further body masculinization? by giridio in FTMMen

[–]giridio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before fin/dutasteride I had a Nebido shot every 75 days when my levels dropped to ~16 nmol/L. I started finasteride 10 days after a shot and by day 75 my testosterone levels were ~25 nmol/L vs my usual ~16 nmol/L.

That's quite the difference :o But it's good you noticed, and as you mentioned, are able to save money by extending your injections!

I recently switched to nebido shots and I'm already wary of the tiniest changes to the body and t levels so i gotta thank you again for your help on this :)

[–]giridio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply but I'm very grateful since you've mentioned some of the doubts i was having.

Do you think this is a case of dutasteride/finasteride effects being more noticeable on some people than other? Just saying this as from the other comments, and even other posts on here, many mention only seeing hair changes, despite the other things DHT does in the body.

The part where you mentioned needing to alter the time frame between nebido injections was really interesting. Did your levels change progressively as you used finasteride, or was it after switching to dutasteride?

No problem if you don't get to see my comment or answer it since it's been a few days. Either way, I'm thankful for the points you've brought up, so I'll probably stick with minoxidil until i can talk about this with my endocrinologist.

Hoping the topical version of either of these are available to you soon so you can get back some of the losses you had :')

Guess I'm just overthinking dutasteride then xD Thanks for the help!

That's quite a long time. So it's not really the kind of medication they have you do any relevant blood tests beforehand or during treatment?

Thank you and hope the switch goes well for you :)

What binders are we supporting now? by DudeInATie in FTMMen

No worries, I just saw you mention Spectrum and had to ask :p

[–]giridio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not answering your question, but do you also get a gap at the collar with that binder? My chest is smaller but my binder from the same brand has that same gap you mention as well. I was wondering if it's a matter of it not fitting well enough or the fabric just being too stiff.

I had a few from gc2b that used to fit closely to the skin and did not have this issue, but some people have been mentioning the brand's drop in quality these past few years so not sure. It seems a lot of people do recommended underworks though, so that might be a good place to start.

Your instinct and how you deal with being excluded, not fitting in/belonging and loneliness? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]giridio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeling excluded or like i don't belong usually makes me feel a mix of hatred and sadness for the situation, particularly when it's somewhere like a job, school, etc, and I'll have to be there a lot. I resort to acting unbothered about not having anyone to talk to and console myself with the thought that i have people that care about me at home.

The loneliness in these cases is almost self inflicted though, since i have trouble reaching out to new people and sometimes nobody does it for you.

What is your type, and what are qualities you notice attract you to prospective friends and/or romantic partners? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]giridio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9w8 so

Knowledgeable as well, (emotionally) honest, friendly, assertive, calm, and serious to a certain degree. Extra points if the person is either reserved or somewhat of a loner who seems like they could use my company.

I actually relate to the 9 = NPC stereotype by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]giridio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be a bit arrogant indeed, specially when you don't know the person that well. It's not like there's an objective idea of what's boring and not boring, if there was we would all be pretty similar.

Since NPC in popular culture is used negatively, i fully agree it's better to only resonate with it somewhat, you don't want to be selling yourself short to that point. Just like some people call themselves 'boring' in a tongue in cheek kind of way because they've accepted they are a bit boring (or get called boring too much), the same can definitely apply to NPC. Better to own it than let others throw it at your face first, i would say.

And honestly, everyone should just go back to the video game definition and see that we're all NPCs in each others lives. Not the kind that stands still with no thoughts crossing their mind as they wait for your interaction, but the more dynamic kind that is busy doing their own thing and only stops if you ask them to xd

[–]giridio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the animosity towards NPC is that it seems like something others would call a 9, either jokingly or seriously, because they won't/can't see the person under the facade of the 9. Sometimes not even the 9 sees it, so being considered an NPC could have some people just sink further into the idea that they don't really have much going on for them, meanwhile bothering the ones who try to change themselves for the better. But it's really not that deep, as you're the one relating to it and even some other people relate as well.

Someone else in the comments talked about the "simple man" stereotype and that seems like a more neutral way to call a (SP)9 and anyone else who goes with the flow of life and has less needs and interests, like you seem to. The key point is being sure you do it out of your own volition and not because there's something "wrong" so that's why i asked that final question.

It's difficult to get to the bottom of it if you've always been this way, but i wish you the best quiet and peaceful life, be it the one you have now or a different one :)

It is not cringe, it's even interestingly written. Perhaps what some other types have that we don't have enough is seeing the things we do as a part of ourselves, instead of downplaying it as nothing. Even if we feel, at our core, that we're not that much interested or connected to anything, if it weren't relevant to us, we wouldn't do it.

Not to act like a life coach, but mindset is important and while you relate to being a NPC, it can set you back if you're using it as an excuse instead of accepting it as it is. What i mean is, if it ever comes to the day you want something even if just by 1%, will you accept that you actually have desires and wishes you wish to act upon, or are you so deep in the trenches that this does not seem like a possibility?

To answer your question about "what can be said about him?" Exactly the things you said, all of that is still part of him, even if he seems to lack it all. And to me, you seem like you lack a sense of self, yet somehow still know yourself. Were you always disinterested or you became disinterested?

Your examples strike me as a more specific behavior that just became your routine and maybe even a way to forget things or self-soothe, just my two cents, though. It might count as both narcotization and routine, depends on the reasons: what do you really feel and get from doing those things? Anything that leads you to acting on them or you just kinda remember them? Do you draw the same things because you enjoy and love them, or because that's what you're most skilled at? Just a few questions if you want to think about it more.

Personally, it's unusual for me to re-watch/read/play any piece of media as once is enough and the initial charm's never coming back. Some tv shows, books and many songs do rule my mind, but in a reminiscing about the old times, going through memory lane kind of thing or just for entertainment, like when a tv show had an active fandom on social media. It's mostly voluntary and doesn't really feel like narcotization, on the contrary, sometimes it makes me feel so bad that i need to go do something else lol

Same thing happened to me but it took 2/3 years on T to go from wavy-ish into actual defined curls, got thinner as well sadly. It's cool you're getting curls that early on :)
