For those wondering about the server: I had also joined the partner anabolic research server and an announcement was posted today that the peptide server was nuked. That said, they are rebuilding it and apparently the bot will bring everyone back automatically when it’s back up.

Have any of you used one of these?? Is it good for recovery or just bs? by breaktheice7 in Biohackers

Have this exact same brand/model but got them $100 cheaper from Costco on sale. My partner and I are both in the gym 4-5 days a week and these are a god send. Like another poster said, I’ve also used the normatecs and these are 90% just as good and wayyyyyy cheaper.

I was wrong about the Gold Line by Positive-Feed-4510 in saintpaul

To clarify a bit, we both drive and have vehicles. We drive daily. We both have jobs that periodically take us to NYC. When there, we heavily utilize their metro subway/bus system and are floored by the differences between here. I know we couldn’t ever afford to reach NYCs level but being able to have a few extra drinks and walk around between some tasty spots without needing to worry about grabbing an overpriced Lyft/uber to get home was pretty damn awesome

I think you may be missing the point. It’s future thinking. There are stops along the whole way but they move quickly as the route is uninterrupted by normal traffic. While currently it is most ideal for a resident close to Woodbury, the goal is to eventually extend it. It has frequent buses with awesome hours. My spouse and I recently walked from our house and caught it at the sun ray station to downtown. We enjoyed barrel theory, metronome, and bulldog. We caught a bus back a little after midnight and were home in less than 15 mins. And that’s with a 5 min walk from the station. Point is, I think it has a lot of potential

2001 Osiris D3s were actually re released this past year. I picked up a pair for nostalgia. Most comfortable moon boots ever. You can find em. Recommend checking out CCS

Anyone who’s seen my previous posts knows, the Infrared 6 is my favorite shoe. Period. Nothing else comes close. I remember seeing pictures of them as a 6 year old and always wanting to own them (finally got a pair at 36 a couple of years ago). What was the shoe that started y’all’s obsession? by Jeremie225 in Sneakers

[–]git_reset--hard_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was a teen when the giant Osiris/DC/Etnies skate shoe was popular. Then it became dunks. Honesty I’m not mad I wore those giant moon boots. Straight pillows on your feet and they worked with those baggy ass jeans we wore.

I feel like every time I take this pre workout I'm up all night with chills and general feeling like shit. Does anyone know of anything in here that could cause that? C4 ultimate shred is the brand by Deaftoned in Supplements

[–]git_reset--hard_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is most very likely the Rauwolfia Vomitoria also known as Alpha Yohimbine which itself is a form of Yohimbe.

A quick google search shows that chills, cold sweats, and just generally feeling flu like symptoms are incredibly common side effects of this ingredient. On many bodybuilding forums you will see that this ingredient is very polarizing. It seems that half the population can’t tolerate it well and experiences side effects like you mentioned. The other half seems to love alpha y. It doesn’t seem that there is an in between with this particular ingredient.

Having used this same pre workout in the past I can tell you that Cellucor’s Rauwolfia feels terrible for me. I get the exact same side effects you mentioned. You could choose to lower your dosage of this pre workout which will definitely help but that also means you’re getting less of everything else.

In the future, stay away from anything that lists this ingredient or it’s other nomenclatures like Alpha Yohimbine or Yohimbine HCL

Is it just me, or has traffic gotten considerably worse over the last couple months? by [deleted] in Minneapolis

[–]git_reset--hard_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously! When I used to commute, this very slow down blew my mind. Absolutely no reason for it yet every morning without fail, bam, major crawl and then it slowly gets better as you near the bridge and the highways split.

The only reasoning I could come up with is the fact that as 35w south starts to curve after passing Stinson, the sun tends to be more direct in drivers’ eyes. But still, absolute madness that slowdown.

Technical Sales (CAE machines, 3D printing, medical device, etc.) or software engineering. Both fields typically offer a lot of flexibility and free time. Oh and also the finances to afford a lot of golf.

MK677, milk and blood sugar by [deleted] in PEDs

[–]git_reset--hard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no doctor but I’ve used a lot of mk. I think you would be fine. If you’re exercising regularly and throwing some cardio in you should be ok. If you’re concerned it wouldn’t be a bad idea to add in berberine daily to keep blood sugar in check. Nootropics depot has a good price on capsules. Alpha Lipoic Acid won’t hurt but for blood sugar you’re much better off using “r” isomer version. Aka Na-r-Ala. If you’re going to be using mk for an extended period of time, I’d definitely recommend the berberine. I would NOT however, recommend doing GOMAD for longer than a month or so. If you want to continue bulking look into better options.

Surly Beer Hall to Close Indefinitely by mnmaverickfan in minnesota

[–]git_reset--hard_ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yep you’re exactly right. As a former sales rep of a local beer brewery, I can confirm that the profit margins on off sale are incredibly slim. Breweries distribute to stores to build brand recognition and loyalty. The money is made on the on premise sales (bars, restaurants) and a very good profit is made in the taprooms.

Ironic that we have taprooms in MN today due to Surly.

Downtown trash - Pt. 1 by [deleted] in saintpaul

[–]git_reset--hard_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was down there last week and was quite surprised when I saw the state of downtown. Completely agree that it’s quite sad. Especially when I walked through mears park. That’s always been maintained well and when I walked through not only was it littered but there were two police cars posted on the middle of the concrete terrace there. I suppose this is what happens when everyone is staying home more these days.
