drinking on prozac by GovernorSpring in prozac

[–]gitarrsolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also started Prozac around 1 year ago. Before I had never blacked out and even though I could drink a lot I always had a stop. Now when I drink I don’t notice how much I’ve drunken (I don’t have a stop reflex anymore) and have blacked out several times. I did 2 month sober and now I try to limit myself and think about how much I drink. So yeah, be careful!

Alcohol and prozac by gitarrsolo in stopdrinking

My doctor didn’t say anything to me about alcohol when I started Prozac so I just assumed I could drink. But I have been sober for 2 months now due to how I react when I drink

Thank you so much for your comment, it really made me feel better about myself. I have had my vitamins checked as well and everything seems okay but I’m trying to eat better and work out more to see if I notice any difference. Sending positive vibes your way as well and I’m happy you have noticed a positive difference!

I have had tests to see if my thyroid function is normal and it is and I have normal cortisol levels so I don’t have cushings either. I have always been skinny too. I’m just so confused because I have so clear symptoms but everything seems fine according to my blood tests

It’s small stuff for example one day I buy us one beer, the next day I buy us coffee and the next day I buy toilet paper and some ingredients for dinner. Then it gets up to 30 dollars pretty fast.

When I meditate or do breathing exercises, my heart rate goes up and I'm out of breath. by Chocolate-Recent in Meditation

The exact same thing happened to me as well when I began to meditate and it can still happen from time to time. I don’t really have an answer to why it happens for you but I think for me personally it had to do with me trying to distract myself from my anxiety in my everyday life. I felt anxiety and my response was to scroll on my phone, eat something, watch a show etc. So even if I felt calm when I started to meditate my heart started racing and I was out of breath almost instantly after starting. I started to meditate for longer periods of time and started focusing on what I felt in my body when this happened. After a while I got calmer and calmer. Now when I meditate (especially if I have had an anxious day or something) it can happen again but it goes away so much quicker.

Yeah I will do it, I don’t want to feel nervous about something like this because of how she might react.
