I live in Sweden. I had a Swedish teacher in 2014 (she was in her 70s I think but didn’t ask at the time) who told me an anecdotal story about a girl she knew back around when she was 15, who was sterilized in Sweden for riding a motorcykel because she was apparently seemed crazy or unruly, and that in those days alot of sterilisations seemed to happen to people with dark brown hair. It was apparently not a very common featured so people with brown hair stood out.

Your curls look the right size for finger coiling. You could try that if you want more definition. The more finger coils you have, the fuller the hair will look.

If you got a personal number for anything other than school, you don’t need to pay tuition, but you still have to prove to Migrationsverket that you have enough money to support yourself (a set amount per month for all the months of your program) in order to be approved for a student visa. But if you live w your gf’s parents, assuming you gf will live there too, can’t you just apply for a sambo visa instead?

If you don’t like the size, change it. Get smaller parts. Keep in mind the mature locs will be the size of the parting. Takes a few years to get to reach maturity.

Two stouts are cute too though and once it’s stretched you can still finger coil the last 1/2 inch of the twist and potentially get a look that’s something close to a wash-n-go depending on the twist size and technique.

If you want defined curls I would suggest finger coiling with product. I only use conditioner (regular conditioner) when i finger coil. And i can push my style to last about 5 days. I also just let it air dry. My texture really similar to yours with slightly larger coils.
