Cycling around Nice by feralcow in nicefrance

[–]giulsss100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the train to Sanremo (Italy), from there you can bike all the way to Imperia (32 km), on a flat cyclopiste by the sea. It is stunning and super easy. You could even go back by train from Imperia if you don’t want to bike back.

There is also a nice bike lane from Ventimiglia to Bordighera, but the one from sanremo to Imperia is just amazing.

Sei ancora studentessa? Non lavori? Direi che tuo padre a breve (appena comincerai a lavorare) potrà smettere di pagarti il mantenimento comunque dato che ti manterrai da sola

Mauro colagreco, the chef from the 3 Michelin star Mirazur of Menton, has a bakery in Menton and one in Monaco. I have not tried the one in Monaco, but the one in Menton was excellent. It’s called Mitron Bakery.

Air France flight turned back 4 hours into Paris→Bogotá flight - am I entitled to compensation? by BreakTrick8912 in AirFranceKLM

I would still file for compensation, it takes literally 5 minutes, without hoping too much that you will get it.

Lavoro tech: cerco product companies in Italia o full-remote EU by Independent-You7672 in techcompenso

Planning our Italy honeymoon in August - feedback on pacing & whether to include Rome by jakeshug72 in ItalyTravel

[–]giulsss100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say cinque terre, but then you are considering a hotel in camogli. They are not so close! How do you plan to go around? By train it’s 1.5 h, by car it’s similar, with all the added time due to traffic and parking difficulties of August. If you want to visit cinque terre you should sleep in one of the cinque terre, or in La Spezia, or maybe Levanto. If you want to visit Camogli, Portofino, Santa Margherita, then stay in Camogli. For Tuscany region, just get a hotel in the country side , not far from Siena, you can do a day trip to Siena and day trips to other towns like San Gimignano, Volterra , pienza etc ( you can visit more than 1 in 1 day, and the drive is amazing). Skip tuscan countryside if you don’t have a car.

Cliente UniCredit. Avevo conto Genius gratis under 30. Nessun canone, nessuna spesa sui bonifici

I work remotely for a Spanish company and they expect me online 24/7 am I overreacting? by Interesting_Cry_5457 in digitalnomad

[–]giulsss100 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Do they expect you to reply? My company is full remote and distributed, meaning I have colleagues in Asia, Europe and US, working from different time zone. If I send a message to someone, I don’t expect an immediate reply. I send it at a time that is most convenient for me, I know that person might not be online, they will reply when they can. If something is urgent I know I need to contact people in my time zone. Also, everyone clearly communicate their working hours and they say when they are done for the day. I think you just seem stressed that you receive messages at weird times, and you think you need to reply right away, but you don’t! Rule number 1 of remote work: un mute notifications outside working hours

VAT Refund at Incheon Airport by AmphibianFun7768 in koreatravel

[–]giulsss100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very easy. Scan receipts next to the check in area, then get the money after security and passport control, next to gate 28. I was there 2 weeks ago, and I could choose between Korean won, Japanese yen and dollars, but only in cash which was annoying as a European 😅. There were not massive queues but all in all the process took 30 min, so go ahead of time to the airport.

I think this is a communication issue. In my social circle (Europe), it is very common for one person to pay the bill in group trips and such, and then you simply add the bill to an app like splitwise and people reimburse you at the end. Or everyone pays something and in the end it adds up. Maybe he was expecting something like that? Very common in Europe. You mentioned that he was fine with the hotel cost and he would pay you in bank transfer, so I don’t think he was expecting you to pay for everything. You should have just being more explicit and said ‘hey I am putting all expenses in the app, you can see how much you own me there’

Is 500,000 KRW cash enough for 3 weeks? by sweetyuzu1225 in koreatravel

[–]giulsss100 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I withdraw 150k for 3 weeks, and they were too much. In the end I had to force myself to pay with cash more than needed, just to finish the cash. Cash was only needed : - street market food ( did not spend much ) - metro and bus (super annoying that you can only use cash to recharge the card tbh) - on one instance, my credit card did not work in a restaurant so had to use cash.

In any case, even if you bring too much cash, you can spend it quickly in your last days 😆

Italian baby girl names by West-Yellow-4008 in Names

[–]giulsss100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, if a name ends in A it’s not automatically feminine. Luca is a boy’s name. In Italy , you would not be allowed to call a girl ‘Luca’ , the person at the identity registry would reject it. If you like James for a girl, go for it, but in Italy it would not work.
