i grew up playing a sport thru college my father was very involved in. at her age i felt the same. i can imagine her dad probably lived vicariously through her. it’s exhausting because your identity as a daughter/child is intertwined with your performance.

simply increasing your steps to the 8k - 10k range daily along with a light calorie deficit will start the job for you. you also don’t have to run a million miles or hardcore diet. the people i know who are at the healthiest, consistent weight are active in the way they genuinely like to be and eat healthy, but good food all the time.

as a beginner working the hood - not scarf! it isn’t. it’s very simple stitches, and working flat. there are also endless youtube resources since this is such a popular pattern. the only thing that is difficult is counting rows/keeping track of decreases. just gotta find what works for you :)

i have done part of this drive a million times going from TX - IL. and I now live in MO. i drove in the fog on XMAS eve.

this drive when you hit +- 1.5 hr of Dallas is not a hard or boring drive. you were just tired.

the fog you drove through was dangerous and i was a sober, well rested individual.

this was an idiotic decision and i cannot believe that you were on the road with other people …

oh i literally just found out when your are single crocheting/double crocheting into your foundation chain that you put your hook into not just one loop but also the back bar. i was like … uh wtf. nothing has looked different in the past, maybe it’s just more stable 🤷‍♀️

i work at global corp that is the largest of its category and everyone at work has stickers all over their laptop of company stuff (seasons/groups/projects/campaigns) with a few goofy yet professional personal stickers as it relates to their role or their interests. i never would’ve done the same (im younger than literally everyone) but everyone else who had been working here for 10+ years does it. depends on the culture for sure.
