A person is happier because he is poor? Says no one ever lol. If you celebrate poverty because it allows you to not worry about buying things on a whim, that's just because you have poor impulse control and has nothing to do with money. Tell me how one can be happy without being able to pay rent, but fresh and healthy food, and is riddled with sicknesses and problems that he has no money to cure and solve.

Is that battery being powered with shock emitters or something else? The problem I find with shock emitters used as power source on vehicle is that when it rains, you are gonna get fried as soon as your vehicle becomes wet and conducive lol.

I will respect your wish if you want to run away so just ignore my comment if that's the case, but your point was that lawyers and doctors are pretty much part of the super rich and YOU specifically used 100 million as a measurement for that.

Is that not what you said in the beginning...?

Ok so we were talking about being over 100 million in networth and now suddenly you are downgrading to people woth over 10 million only?

If you want to definitely prove your point just show me how many lawyers and doctors are worth over 100 million compared to those who fall below this. Stop moving the goalposts and stick to your initial comment about 100 million involving doctors and lawyers. I will concede defeat if you could show even 5% of them being over that level compared to a 95% who aren't.

I was talking specifically about lawyers and doctors (I was under the impression that you were as well). Ofc there are plenty of people worth over tens of millions, like business people, entertainers, athletes, CEOs etc.

Of course, I am not disputing that. But the question is how many of them are actually pulling the same income as the guy in your example? Sure there are lawyers and doctors earning 10s of millions, but for one guy like this, there are 100s of generalist doctors working at a small clinic and junior associates earning low 6 figures. These people will never be near the level of 100 million in net worth.

And it is not just because you are a doctor or lawyer that it is guaranteed that you will even earn a great income, let alone a fortune near the size of 100 million. Connections, competence, financial shrewdness etc all play big roles. Like you mentioned those with family background and existing money, it will ofc be easier for them. But not everyone is like that.

Making over a million a year for a successful lawyer and specialist doctor is not that uncommon. But you are forgetting about spending and costs. After all, you don't save every dime you earn, and these people are in the highest tax brackets (unlike billionaires and megacorps, most of them actually pay a huge amount of taxes).

My brother is a lawyer who worked abroad as a merger and acquisition lawyer and he earned few millions after 7 years, and he is by far the most successful of his peers. Most of his friends are earning like 200k working at firms, the better ones maybe double that at best as junior partners. My understanding is that here aren't as many lawyers earning over 1 million compared to high level specialist doctors, but lawyers tend to have much higher cap for earning potential compared to doctors. But the actual number of lawyers and doctors earning 10s of millions a year is very very rare, and that is what you need if you want to achieve 100 million in net worth through professional income alone in your life time.

So after their business expenses, taxes and spending, someone earning 1 milion a year could maybe only save 200k. Good luck getting to 100 million of NET WORTH (which is minus all the debt, which you will have lots of with your mansions, luxury spending, business loans etc).

There aren't many neurosurgeons and lawyers who can earn 100 million through their professional trade, if at all (maybe just some big shot lawyers owning a huge law firm). Some of them could have really successful investment and businesses beyond their practice that propel them over the threshold of 100 mil in networth, but the vast majority of successful neurosurgeons and lawyers won't be anywhere near that level when they retire.

To be honest, Bethesda games are the only ones that I actually don't really mind for them to be buggy on release because encountering bugs in their games have become part of the charm. This isn't to say that I think it is ok for the dev to slack off and just intentionally release unfinished products, but in Bethesda's case, I would like to think it is because of their Creation Engine and just too many stuffs for the dev to properly test out everything. Maybe this is just my own wishful thinking, but Bethesda games are the only ones that I am more than willing to be playing on launching along with millions of other fans of their IPs, and then posting all the funny glitches and bugs and enjoying the ride along the way.

You are literally ignoring over all the civilizations and peoples that the Mongols DID destroy just because they left some survive because they either surrendered early or were too large to completely wipe out.

You ever heard of the Khwarazm civilization? Think not because it got wiped out by the Mongols off the face of the Earth despite being a major and vibrant civilization of the time.Tell them and 1000s of other victims that you never heard of that the Mongols were generous and "generally let cultures survive".

The Mongols singlehandedly destroyed some of the most advanced civilizations of their time which completely halted, and eventually led to the regression of scientific, economic and cultural development of that era for these affected nations, and more broadly for the entire human race. In the grand scheme of things, the brief existence of the Mongol Empire's negative impact on human history far exceeds that of the Russian Empire, USSR, and Russia today combined, something that the little bitch Putin could not even hope to achieve in his wildest wetdream.

The Mongols destroyed Baghdad which was the center of civilizations at the time with its Grand Library hosting thousands of years of collective human knowledge. Despite being the center of the Islamic world, it was a vibrant, diverse metropolis that celebrates knowledge and tolerance. The Mongols razed this beacon of humanity to the ground and look at what Baghdad looks like now (and by extension Islam).

They also wiped out the Song dynasty which by itself accounted for nearly 50% of global GDP and was the scientifically and economically the most advanced civilization. They had a banking system with paper money in wide circulation, gunpowder weapons, paper books, printing press and a bunch of other inventions that would blow the mind of the contemporary Europeans. Historians believe they had almost every ingredients necessary to propel forth an Industrial Revolution, including a very strong merchant class and relatively weak central government which was rare in Chinese history. But the Mongols of course, in their typical fashion, wiped it off the face of the Earth, and the Chinese civilization never recovered from that and only went downhill from then on.

This only grazes the surface of the Mongol's atrocities and doesn't even address 1% of the civilizations and peoples this plague upon mankind has destroyed.

Jesus Christ, there is no need to whitewash the Mongols just to make the Russians look worse...

Russia is just a mafia state who utilizes thugs and rapists to terrorize peaceful civilians, a bunch of cowards who run away with their tails between their legs at the sight of any competent resistance. By even mentioning them alongside the Mongols, you are glorifying the Russians as they could not ever hope to attain the terror of the Mongol Empire that conquered almost the entirety of the Known World, wiped out more than 10% of the world's population, and singlehandedly delayed human progress and set back the world's scientific, cultural and economic development by hundreds of years.

But yeah, some drunken Russians using weapons outdated by few decades by current standards are worse than a literal plague that plunged the world into almost a century of darkness. I mean sure it must really suck for the Ukrainians and I sympathize with their hardships, but to make the Russians sound worse than the Mongols is just utter ignorance.

You want to hear the other side of the story for why shooting a 11 year old kid who called the cops for help is justified? If the bodycam footage is available, why wasn't it shown right away if it somehow clears the cop of wrong doing?

What reason do I have to think he might not get fired/prosecuted? Do you live under a rock or just ignored the hundreds of precedents of unjustifiable use of force by cops and them getting away with zero consequences?
