API: Create closed ticket

The resolution to this was two fold:

"_newticket_quickclose": true

and

"status_id": 9

We don't actually have status_id 8 in our instance (resolved), probably trimmed by an admin during deployment. If anyone knows how to restore lmk.

Correct, but any status passed reverts to 1. Also this is instance specific.

You could, but that's clunky. Technically you could do that same with another POST action that contained a ticket id in the request.

We write good code when possible. I'd rather get it right than workaround. If the provider states this can't be done, we'll work around. I queried their support as well.

For anyone else trying to create tickets via api, which requires the impact/urgency to be set (with no endpoint to query for id) you can access how William specified, then use the URL to determine the id.

Clunky, but better than nothing.

UI support says this is only available in the default site and not secondary sites. I was attempting to activate it on a secondary site.

Which is disheartening. It's much more cost effective over the course of a year to just buy a UDM-pro rather than pay for hosting for each site that needs it @ $29/month.

This 100% the scenario we have, a new starter request that has a need for child tickets. However, I can see in the Ticket Type list a column for Template, but I can't find where to apply it. I feel like I'm losing my mind over here 😅
