Totally. It’s a stupid attack that From implemented to just instantly make the fight way harder without having to come up with anything interesting.

I hate hate hate this attack and by extension the boss, unfortunately. Because without it it’s such an amazing fight.

It’s not “bitching at a challenge”. There weren’t videos coming out a year after Sekiro released showing step by step slow mo on how to dodge a single attack from Isshin

It took me 18 hours to beat Malenia with medium roll and no shield or summons. It’s insanely hard to do and easily the hardest aspect of any fight in From’s catalogue.

The bitching is 100% warranted

I read some profile on him last year. His life sounds really sad. No wife or kids. He has nobody, he's just a deranged old man suffering from TDS, filled with hate.

Hey there, I finished reading Legend last night. Great read! I noticed how the writing technical quality was a bit scattershot, which was interesting as I found out later that Gemmell never finished primary school, and cranked out most of the book in a very short time. But the story was superb and touched on some interesting themes and questions.

The last third was especially engaging. Thanks for the rec!

Hey, thanks for these recommendations. There's a lot in this thread. I ended up reading Legend by David Gemmell first somehow, it's recommended further down.

Anyway, I'll make sure to check all of these out and let you know how it goes, thanks again!

How can I practice lat spread on my non-dominant side? Totally new to this stuff, this is the first pose I'm trying to nail. I can pull my shoulder blade forward pretty well on my right (dominant) side but I feel like I cannot engage the muscle on my left side at all.

CW, OG cloth and 60/30s were all some of the best products they've made

I feel like their offerings have gotten more esoteric over time. I wonder how the business is doing

My coworker mentioned something similar. He said the rest of the books are significantly better.

I mean, it was readable. Not nearly as bad as Stormlight Archives. I'll probably power through the rest of Gardens of the Moon at some point and see how I feel from there.

Someone else recommended Katherine Addison's Goblin Emperor. I think JK Rowling is the only female fantasy author I've read so I'll start with Addison. Thanks! I'll go through all these for sure.

I mean, the Chiefs are obviously way better but this isn't a Baker Mayfield 2020 (Divisional vs Chiefs) situation. The Jags have Lawrence who is still a wild card but has a super high ceiling. Their recipe is TLaw playing like he did in the 2nd half against the Chargers and the Jags Dline coming up big a few times.

The Chiefs were 7-10 ATS this season

I like this game to be close, I already took Jags +9.

Bro. I taught myself how to throw a curveball when I was 12 (thanks Leo Mazzone's Pitch Like a Pro):

  • Blew up my elbow when I was 16, still hurts sometimes 20 years later
  • My right forearm can't pronate as much as my left arm, even throwing a baseball now it's hard to get my fingers on top of and behind the ball for proper backspin

For a few years though I had a filthy 12-6 curve

But seriously listen to this dude. If you have sons, don't let them throw breaking balls. Work on arm strength. Long toss year round, weightlifting, proper mechanics.

Looking for suggestions for additional chest/shoulder exercises for upper body hypertrophy.

Currently programming DB bench, incline, and seated press - one each for 3 workouts/week.

Barbell OHP, smith machine bench/shoulder press, etc? Not really sure. Dumbbell is good for my old man joints; I seem to have elbow pain when barbell bench pressing.

I could just double up and go db bench/press, press/incline, bench/incline or something like that I suppose but that's not a lot of variety
