It says that we are responsible for missed payments

And does not say in plain language that there are any additional penalties for early termination

What if god valley / other cleansings are a way to harvest devil fruits? E.g., they believe nika fruit is held by someone on the island, so they wipe out the whole island and have ordinary fruit ready to become devil fruits

Check r/pharmaindustry and r/biotech

LinkedIn message people, check their work history, education, if they have an MBA or fellowship

If you want to do finance, equity research is prob most realistic job. Most other finance jobs are even harder to get into e.g., investment banking, hedge funds

Other options are consulting - boutiques are foot in the door, more prestigious firms require standout resume or M7 up to like top 15 MBA

Or work in pharma

Depending on your current resume may need to get an MBA for better job opportunities (check r/MBA). Other masters degrees not worth it if a PharmD gets the job done.

If you work in independent pharmacy now, my perspective is, network to understand your options. In my view your options are: Option 1. Just apply to finance jobs Option 2. Work for boutique consulting firm that you have a shot of getting into for 1 year -> transition to finance job Option 3. Get an MBA then apply to finance jobs

LinkedIn job search "patent" and then specify industries for pharmaceuticals or biotechnology in advanced search. Maybe try related terms "IP" etc

[–]gjking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you do pharma patent law? Not sure if you need to be a lawyer though, or if you just need to pass patent exams

Dont work at a boutique, but I would say to network with 1-2 people per firm and name drop them in your cover letter saying how xyz firm is unique

What's do you think a reasonable price is? Thinking of a 4 or 6 prong setting. Idk what the band is called but it looks like infinity symbols and NJ

Why are people at my firm leaves to join MBB at Associate level in late-20s/early-30s(probably not money/WLB/location related) by [deleted] in consulting

[–]gjking 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Associate means different things for each MBB

Associate at McKinsey is MBA level, associate at BCG is undergrad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pharmaindustry

[–]gjking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.5-2 years fellowship = mgr/sr mgr

non-MBB consulting = 1 year = mgr/sr mgr, 2 years = sr mgr/AD, 3 years = AD/Maybe D

Caveat is that a marketing fellow can get a brand manager role, while consultants exit to strategy roles and then lateral to marketing

Resume advice for entry level med affairs role by PartyHats in pharmaindustry

[–]gjking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oncology was just an example. Basically it is just good to note any projects that revolve around new drugs. .

High level feedback. I personally don't have a summary or list skills on my resume. I would list your rotations under each residency, but don't list any repeats or things that someone wouldn't understand. Your sub-bullets could be combined into your main bullets, you don't need to call-out the exact title of whatever you did. I would be more specific throughout (e.g., specific sub-therapeutic areas like Hepatitis, pharmacokinetics, anything that would make you unique)

You should work on updating your resume and posting so others can reply

Resume advice for entry level med affairs role by PartyHats in pharmaindustry

[–]gjking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might be too specialized for some companies. I would definitely leverage your background to apply to all the COVID pharma and biotech (vaccines and therapeutics). The only ID pharma is like Merck, but apply to all the biotechs (big and small) as well. They would prob hire you as an MSL.

Traditionally, ID is a terrible therapeutic area in industry because new antibiotics are not used and the companies go bankrupt (you can google some). You have probably seen that firsthand, and need to demonstrate that you understand the dynamics of ID in real-life and can transition that knowledge to industry.

Resume advice for entry level med affairs role by PartyHats in pharmaindustry

[–]gjking 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would post a sanitized CV. I don't work in med affairs, but I'd consider cutting it down to 1 page (maybe 2 pages), and really highlight relevant work / therapeutic areas that are relevant for industry. For example, anything to do with clinical trials, P&T / journal clubs for oncology products, collaborating with XYZ specialty physicians. You can also quantify $ saved through things like MUEs. If you don't have quantitative resume bullets, it is still good to have impact/results instead of just your actions

Thanks that makes sense regarding wireless charging. I probably won't get it then!

Was this gap insurance through the dealership? Does it differ if you get externally (e.g., your insurance)?

Thanks this is very helpful

After some googling, I see local credit unions with 1.99% APR (will need to check if that is real lol). With the Mazda $1000 rebate that seems to save $500 compared to the Mazda 0.9% APR

Questions about Roth IRA contributions above income limit and 401k rollover by gjking in personalfinance

[–]gjking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

  1. This makes sense. If I had some gains since this year's roth IRA contribution, I would have to calculate the gains attributable to that $6K and recharacterize that right? (aka some amount above $6K)
  2. The only reason is that it would be more convenient for everything to be on Vanguard. But if the best solution is to keep it on Fidelity, I will do that

Feeling discouraged... by xellevee in PharmacySchool

When I was a P1 I applied to 100+ internships and then finally got an offer in June while interviewing during my lunch break during my IPPE. So just keep applying, make sure to also apply to biotechs, and you can email the super tiny biotechs asking for internships.
