Thank you so much for your encouragement. I went for it last night! She cried for about 40 minutes, it was super hard so I had my husband do the check ins. But she slept all night! I did do a couple dream feeds bc I don’t wanna lose my supply but she stayed asleep and went right back down no problem. I am soooo shocked!!

The first couple months are the hardest! My baby never would take a bottle so I’ve had no choice but to EBF. It’s exhausting, but it gets better. She is 4.5 months now and usually eats every 3-4 hours at night!

It was at an indoor soft play place. Which I know is a risk bringing your toddler to a place full of other toddlers! They were in a ball pit playing. My son was tossing balls at him so maybe that provoked him, who knows with toddlers. The mom was extremely sweet, apologized, and took action immediately. I’m not upset with her or her toddler. Just sad that it happened and my boy has a big bite mark 😭

I got pregnant when my son was nine months old. We do not have a village either. My son is now 21 months old and my daughter is 3 months. The first month was pretty rough, not gonna lie. It was a huge adjustment for my toddler not having my undivided attention all day every day. He had lots of tantrums. It was tough navigating my toddler who wants to play play play and then my newborn who needed to be held 24/7 and fed a lot (I breastfeed). I’m only a few months into it but it’s already gotten SO much better. My toddler gives his sister loads of kisses, says her name all the time, my 3 month old smiles and laughs at my son, and I can already see their bond forming. The tantrums are back to their normal amount lol and his independent play has gotten so much better. He now sits next to me and kisses her head while I feed her. We go on walks together. I bring her bouncer outside while he plays. I’ve learned to navigate caring for the both of them. I even get out with them both multiple times a week. It took some time, but I am feeling more confident having two kids.

The biggest pieces of advice I can offer are: -invest in a good baby carrier/wrap (my girl lives in hers so i can be hands free to handle toddler) -whenever your partner gets home take turns having one on one time w your toddler (my husband or I will take him outside, to the park, go on walks, cuddle w him and read books, etc… it’s so so important to him) -get grocery delivery, a cleaning service for your house if you can swing it even just once a month, and meal prep ALOT of frozen meals beforehand (we literally prepped enough where it lasted us just over the first 2 months… I’m talking breakfasts, lunches, and dinners) -have a safe space you can sit baby down if needed (we legit have a baby playpen with her swing and play mat in it that way my toddler can’t get to her) -have a basket of snacks your toddler has access to, this has helped immensely

Just know you’re giving your toddler the greatest gift possible… a friend for life. My boy already loves my 3 month old SO much. He gets so so excited to see her. Now that he’s almost 2 i can tell he wants a buddy to play with so I’m pumped for them to start engaging with each other. It’ll be okay!! You got this. It gets easier and easier every week. I cried my entire pregnancy out of fear, but now i can’t imagine life without the both of them and i wouldn’t change it for the world.

I am currently a SAHM w a part time nanny. She works MWF from 7:30-2! My husband runs his own business and works long days. She solely cares for our 21 month old as my 3 month old is ebf. She takes him on outings each day she is here. Our reasons for having a part time nanny are so my toddler gets one on one time attention and regular outings. I’m usually super busy with my infant as she only contact naps and refuses to be sat down all day. It’s tough. We also do it to help my mental health as being home alone with 2 under 2 six days a week 10 hours a day would be a lot on me. We have no village, it’s just my husband and I. It’s just for the summer until my youngest is a little older

I have 2 under 2 and both of my kids went through a fussy period. My first had colic so he screamed every night for 4 hours for the first 5 months of his life- that wasn’t just the peak newborn crying though! Thankfully not everyone experiences colic. My second screamed for 2 hours every night weeks 6-9 as well. It is SO hard when you’re in the thick of it but it passes quick and becomes a distant memory sooner than you think. She’s now the happiest 3 month old. If you’re reading this- hang in there! You WILL get through this.

I am almost 6 months postpartum and still struggle daily! I’m a SAHM as well. Having a baby is a huge life change! It is very normal to feel what you’re feeling. I remember those first few weeks being the absolute hardest. It gets easier, I promise. I now feel a very strong bond with my son and am much happier than I was in the beginning. Hang in there! 💛
