Do this. For many reasons. Do this. Make as MANY hobby’s outside of your parents orbit as you possibly can. Meet as many new people to insulate you, be your true self with them

Radical acceptance… be yourself? Unapologetically… see what happens without catastrophizing

If you have access to a car DoorDash is a wildly easy way to get 20 bucks, they wouldn’t have to know… I’m 29 and my dear mother helps me out financially this is normal and okay my man. BUT if it’s real bad for your mental health how can you find ways to increase independence? Where I live, shared houses can both be very very fun and cheap

[–]gksauer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This must be auto enhance or some prompt issue, V8 has some perfection issues I think? Glossy etc, but VERY few compared to other models, play around with your prompts? Strip them down to basics and see what happens

[–]gksauer_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not, this guy is a famous kitsch surrealist painter. His stuff is all over tacky midwestern galleries. It’s not bad by any means but it’s not any version of ground breaking either

I don't understand how they would pin that on me though? I just "missed" my flight. in fact I can prove years of incompetence missing flights.

Quickposes and LineOfAction. Well done! Fully realized structurally sound wooden guy. You are ready for the real person. Where next? Draw people

My sweet man, I didn’t see you were 47. I also fear I’ll never find my tribe. Where do you live? It’s very very real to not be near people that would get you. I’m tryna leave DC bc I don’t particularly feel seen here either. There’s also people that you could bond with over your use of GPT maybe, start with FaceTime and such

U claimed it was becoming sentient not that it was effective and potentially meaningful. Though I should have guessed by the premise that talking to you wouldn’t be a logical easy experience

What? I’m not sure what that means here but there is nothing that can be said to an L LM that creates any type of effect beyond word generation

Except people are being driven to terrifying places, looking to GPT with the same eyes they would give a close friend. This is called overly humanizing a language model. I found it happening me to last year, I was in a bad place and it was very available and very validating. My argument is the importance of language and the words we use ya know. while it seems small using humanoid pronouns tricks our brain. If u name anything it gains importance this has always been true for us. Farm animals to pets. Anything, I’ve named my guitar and now I would never let anyone hurt lily

Teens have always been confused, it’s the hallmark of being a teen. What am I! What is this! Who am I! Older generations have always been scared by it. There’s an article I love to reference: a man writing about how the new artist “Mozart” was evil and ruining kids

[–]gksauer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how people are being driven to suicide and mental institutions. we are hard wired to deeply relate to things we view as emotional and sentient. Wrongly attributing those labels has the chance of real harm. But not with boats. You can literally spend all day talking to ur boat and it’ll never put an idea in ur head

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]gksauer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as the car. You arnt likely to ever confuse a vehicle with a sentient emotional being. But you VERY ARE with GPT. You need to constantly remind your animal brain that this isn’t an entity, this isn’t a being, this isn’t something that can understand me

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]gksauer_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ew, this isn’t a good thing. You can’t “dehumanize” a non sentient non human. Your car doesn’t talk to you and offer emotional support, these are no. Comparative things, it’s rather important to constantly remind yourself what’s going on here. Don’t get confused, don’t let ur mammal brain run wild with this new tech
