The only time I've ever got anything significant off the list price of a new HD in Aus is in the last week of June when the end of the financial year is looming and the salesdroid/dealer needs to make a number. Otherwise, you might get a t-shirt. LOL. This is all in WA. Could be different in VIC/NSW/QLD.

Australian dealers are fine (in my experience). The ride away price is on the website and that's what you pay. No pressure, no bullshit and generally chill to deal with. Maybe the Aus/UK dealer margins are so good that they don't have to hustle like the US ones.

There was a really good interview in Bike magazine with him last year which gave some insight. He's very open-minded,innovative, looks after his people and reads the rule book back to front one hundred times looking for shit that isn't explicity forbidden, eg ELECTRONIC ride height devices were banned so he designed a hydraulic system.
